Esmée and André

We have a daughter named Esmée and we will be having a baby boy in [name_f]October[/name_f]. Looking for a name and we came across André. Is it to matchy with Esmée?

I think the names sound so good together. [name_f]My[/name_f] only advice is… consider where you will go from here, if you have any more children. Does [name_f]Esmee[/name_f] & [name_u]Andre[/name_u] leave you enough room for a future sibling name? Another vowel name could complement them. [name_m]How[/name_m] about

[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
[name_m]Ivan[/name_m]
[name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_m]Ethan[/name_m]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]

[name_m]Just[/name_m] a few ideas to get your brain working! I think [name_f]Esmee[/name_f] and [name_u]Andre[/name_u] are super cute!

On one hand the names do look and sound nice together but perhaps they rhyme too much.
Maybe a variation of [name_u]Andre[/name_u], such as [name_m]Andreas[/name_m] or [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]?

Thank you so much for your input! We are not planning on having any additional children. So I am not worried about having to pick future names. I just don’t want my kiddos to have names that sound too twin like, or match too much in a weird way.

We also love the idea of using accent marks. Esmée had a big sister [name_m]Zo[/name_m]ë who passed away, so we want to keep the tradition of using the accent marks.

We also like the name Rémy…but I don’t know if we are sold on it because of the meaning “oarsman”, or “swiftly”. André has a meaning that we like a bit better.

Any ideas on slightly offbeat names with accent marks for boys?

[name_m]Etienne[/name_m] (accent over the first e, might match too much but not as much as [name_u]Andre[/name_u])

I do think they are pretty matchy.

[name_m]Frederic[/name_m]
[name_m]Leon[/name_m]
[name_u]Gael[/name_u]

[I cannot work out how to add the accents]
