Esra

First impression and pronunciation?

I pronounce it the same as [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and it seems to be an attempt to make it feminine, even though I know [name_m]Esra[/name_m] a legitimate girl’s name.

I love [name_m]Esra[/name_m] and basically pronounce it as I would [name_m]Ezra[/name_m].

Middle ideas: [name_m]Esra[/name_m] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] . [name_m]Esra[/name_m] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] . [name_m]Esra[/name_m] [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] . [name_m]Esra[/name_m] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] . [name_m]Esra[/name_m] [name_f]Novalie[/name_f]

[name_m]Esra[/name_m] [name_f]Holiday[/name_f]

It’s arabic and the current choice for [name_m]Little[/name_m] Lady due in [name_u]July[/name_u]. DH is worried it will ALWAYS be said as [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]

It’s gorgeous. I think people pronounce the z in [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] differently depending on where they’re from, it is probably the same with [name_m]Esra[/name_m]. Some people will say the s as Ess and others will say it more as a Z sound.

I’d probably say it like Ess-ra, but would just think that someone was trying to make [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] feminine.

What about [name_u]Isra[/name_u] or Asra?

Bumping it for some more feedback

I’d say [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and assume it was a boy if I saw it on paper. I do think it’s very pretty with the “S” sound!
