What is everyone’s thoughts and opinions on Estë? Does it work with [name_f]Ewa[/name_f]? [name_m]Will[/name_m] there be pronunciation errors? Is it a good replacement for ”sta? Thanks!!
I would pronounce it Ess-tee, rhyming with the - uh - body part. That’s what puts me off the name; it’ll always remind me of that. Like [name_m]Estes[/name_m] [name_m]Park[/name_m] in CO (pronounces ess-tees), I’ll always think of it. But I probably just have a dirty mind. Not something I would ever personally go with.
I really like [name_f]Este[/name_f] but I like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] much more!
Is it Es [name_u]Tay[/name_u]?
I would pronounce it as “es-tay”… don’t know if that is what you are going for?? I still like [name_f]Asta[/name_f] better.
It reminds me of [name_f]Estee[/name_f] Lauder, not a great thing…
I immediately think of [name_f]Este[/name_f] [name_m]Haim[/name_m], she pronounces it ess-tee which I really like. I prefer [name_f]Estella[/name_f] personally.
[name_f]Este[/name_f] and [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] work very well as sisters.
I like Estée! Makes me think of Estée Lauder. It’s a beautiful french name.
However, Estë is not correct because in french the “ë” is placed after a vowel only (it is a mark and it means that we have to pronounce the vowels separately). Plus I think Americans are not familiar with the ë (but start to be familiar with the accent). You will probably not have to correct Estée as much as Estë.
I’m presuming you pronounce it ES-tee, as the umlaut above the e means you pronounce it as a long e sound.
