I can’t see straight from pouring over pros and cons, so I’d love to ask for your help (once again). Her big sister’s name is [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Joy[/name] ([name]Joy[/name] after my sister).
[name]Estella[/name] [name]Jennifer[/name] ([name]Jennifer[/name] after another sister) - is it too formulaic? I know nameberries seem to hate similar sounding sibsets (tongue-twister)!
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] - am I trapped into a C-named third child?
We call [name]Cecilia[/name] CC, so nicknames woud be CC & [name]Stella[/name]. Could we have a CC & [name]CoCo[/name]? Hmmm…
I prefer [name]Cora[/name] to [name]Estella[/name]. It’s all heart, containing the root “cor.” It also makes me think of someone courageous, who speaks and acts from her core. I think [name]Cora[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] is just lovely, especially if you pronounce [name]Lucia[/name] “lu-chee-ah.” And I don’t think two C names locks you into a pattern, especially since it would be one hard-C and one soft. [name]Coco[/name] is a cute nick, but I’d spell it like [name]Coco[/name] [name]Chanel[/name], not with that capital C in the middle of the name like [name]SoHo[/name] or MoMA.
I find [name]Estella[/name] kind of run-on. Why not just [name]Stella[/name], or [name]Estelle[/name]?
[name]Jennifer[/name] is a tough one. If you love the sound, then go for it. I do not. Much much prefer [name]Ginevra[/name], the Italian form of [name]Jennifer[/name] (which would work, since [name]Cecilia[/name] is Italian.) [name]Cora[/name] [name]Ginevra[/name], [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Ginevra[/name]?
I prefer [name]Estella[/name] over [name]Cora[/name], but I’m not not a fan of the name or [name]Estelle[/name] -if you can find a name that can have the gorgeous nickname [name]Stella[/name], that would be great! Here are some ideas!
I prefer [name]Cora[/name] over [name]Estella[/name] but think that it would be weird to have a [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Cecilia[/name] as sister. I’d find that much more formulaic than a family middle name.
Have you considered [name]Estelle[/name] instead of [name]Estella[/name]? [name]Cecilia[/name] and [name]Estelle[/name] ([name]Cece[/name] and [name]Elle[/name]) would be very distinctly different despite the formulaic mn’s. [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Jennifer[/name] would be cute though I think [name]Jennifer[/name] [name]Estelle[/name] flows better. (She can always go by her mn).
I like both names. [name]Estella[/name] [name]Jennifer[/name] would be nice because the nicknames sound good with each other and you could have J middle names for each of your children if you’re into that. [name]Cora[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] is a beautiful name. However, I don’t like [name]CoCo[/name] and CC together. I think that [name]Cora[/name] doesn’t need a nickname. It’s short enough. As a name,I think [name]Cora[/name] is better than [name]Estella[/name].
[name]Both[/name] names are beautiful, but [name]Estella[/name] [name]Jennifer[/name] would go best with [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Joy[/name]. I like that each will have middle names belonging to their aunts
[name]Both[/name] names are lovely but I think I prefer [name]Estella[/name] as [name]Cecilia[/name]'s sibling. It seems more substantial than [name]Cora[/name], they share the same romantic and soft sound and I like CC and [name]Stella[/name] as nicknames more than CC and [name]Coco[/name].
I’d take [name]Cora[/name] over [name]Estella[/name] anyday, but I’ve never liked the idea or siblings with the same first initial so [name]Estella[/name] wins for me.
I would definitely go with [name]Cora[/name], I feel it makes a more natural sib-set as [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Joy[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] [name]Lucia[/name], where as [name]Estella[/name] [name]Jennifer[/name] sounds a bit forced in my opinion with the two longer names, and [name]Cecilia[/name] [name]Joy[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] have the same amount of syllables, which is probably why they flow so well together and I feel they are a bit of a matched set with one with a longer first name and a shorter middle and vice versa.
And while [name]Estella[/name] is a nice name, and many people love it, to me I am just reminded of [name]Joey[/name]'s agent on Friends: [name]Estelle[/name], and I read the name in her voice. Also, [name]Cora[/name] is a personal favourite of mine, as is [name]Cecilia[/name].
I prefer [name]Estella[/name] over [name]Cora[/name], for the meaning, but I would use [name]Stella[/name] instead of [name]Estella[/name]. [name]Estella[/name] & [name]Jennifer[/name] have the same number of syllables, so I think [name]Stella[/name] [name]Jennifer[/name] flows better. [name]Stella[/name] & [name]Cecelia[/name] are cute together.
A pp suggested the Italian version of [name]Jennifer[/name]… [name]Guinevere[/name] is the Welsh version in case you want something a little different. However, it makes more sense to me to use [name]Jennifer[/name] to honour your sister.
