What are your thoughts on the girls name Estes?
i’m not a fan. it reminds me of Estes Park, which isn’t a bad thing i guess but it’s not an association i’d want. it also makes me think of the spanish word estés, which means “you are”

I prefer [name_f]Este[/name_f] if I’m honest but [name_m]Estes[/name_m] is sweet too!
I like it! I have a bit of a soft spot for Est- names: [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Esteri[/name_f], [name_f]Estée[/name_f], [name_f]Este[/name_f], Estrel… They’re so starry and sleek. I’ll admit that I’d probably assume boy if I saw the name [name_m]Estes[/name_m] though, not a huge problem but it does read slightly more masculine to me.
I definitely think of it as a last name since I grew up with a family of [name_m]Estes[/name_m]. It’s got an interesting sound, and while I’m not a huge fan it’s not a bad name!
I’m having a hard time trying to pronounce it. Not really my favorite.

For surnames it comes off very masculine so I’m not a fan.
I like [name_f]Estee[/name_f] but not heard of [name_m]Estes[/name_m] and it leans masculine to me. But it could possibly grow on me. Im just not familiar.

Yea wouldn’t do it, aside from it being too surnamey for me, it’s also an extremely common phrase in Spanish, basically the equivalent of the word you’re

Not a fan, sorry. I work in the transportation industry, so I just think of a leasing company, [name_m]Estes[/name_m] Leasing lol. I like the Est- beginning, and think [name_f]Estie[/name_f], [name_f]Estee[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], etc., are all sweet, but [name_m]Estes[/name_m] itself does not appeal to me.
