Esther Zinnia?

Hello, all! I just wanted to hear what you have to say about my name idea. Husband and I have been talking it over and we both really like the first name [name]Esther[/name]; it’s sweet, old fashioned, and it’s a classic Hebrew name, which appeals to us because we’re Jewish.

But, I’m having trouble with the middle name. I love [name]Zinnia[/name], but I also like [name]Bea[/name]. I’m actually leaning toward spelling it [name]Bee[/name], which is totally cheeky, but I think really cute. Which works better? [name]Bee[/name] or [name]Zinnia[/name]?

Also, how do you all feel about the combination of the first and middle with the last name? We have a short, two syllable, Spanish last name, and so I don’t want the style of my first name to “clash” with my last.

In short, should I only be considering Spanish first names?

Oh, and if it helps, our names are [name]Rachel[/name] & [name]Robert[/name].

Thank you so much for your help! I really want to find something perfect!

I do not think that you need to look at only Spanish names. Neither your name nor your husband’s is specifically Spanish, do you not feel like they go well with you last name? It seems like you have a name that you both like and agree on, with religious significance to boot, so I’d go with it! I’ve had a hispanic student with one of the most common Spanish last names named [name]Hilda[/name], and I have a friend from Mexico named [name]Ingrid[/name]. Neither first name are Spanish, but it doesn’t matter. The most important thing is a name that you love. As for the last name, [name]Zinnia[/name] is so spunky! I met an adorable girl named [name]Zinnia[/name] this past weekend- first ever. Simply by flow, [name]Esther[/name] [name]Bea[/name] or [name]Esther[/name] [name]Bee[/name] probably works better, but I really like [name]Zinnia[/name], and how often is a person’s full name said anyway.
