i came up with this new book idea a couple days ago and have been thinking about it nonstop.
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is an extreme theater kid. she has been visiting broadway since she was 6 and knows just about every production that has ever seen the streets of new york. she is now 20 and studying theater, hoping to follow her dreams of being the next [name_f]Patti[/name_f] LuPone. she, and the rest of the theater department, are writing, producing, and putting on a musical, and while there’s a lot of great talent in their department, they all feel that the main love interest role doesn’t have the right actor.
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is a stoic, studious, computer engineering student. he has been serious his whole life. he’s the oldest of 4 kids, at 21 years old, with a single mom, who has been traumatised by her abusive ex. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] lives his whole life protecting and working for his family, only in college because of a full scholarship. he doesn’t have time for extracurriculars between working for his family and getting his youngers sisters around, however, his advisor suggested he join a school club, for the sake of his future resumes.
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] cross paths for the first time in a calculus lecture. [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] was late and the only seat left happened to be right next to [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], the talkative girl she was, immediately attempted to make friends with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], who was not receptive. for weeks, [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] walks into her monday/wednesday/friday calculus class and talks to her neighbor and everyday [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] just ignores her, until [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] brings up the fact that the theater department is still holding auditions for the male lead in their musical. in a desperate attempt to get her to leave him alone, [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] offers [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] a deal. “if i audition for your musical, will you please stop talking? i have a lecture to listen to,” [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] thought about it for the next half hour and as the class was dismissed, [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] passes [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] a sitcky note with one word written in neon pink, glittery gel pen…
