Etta or Mae

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries!

We would love some feedback- do you prefer [name_f]Etta[/name_f] or [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a first name?

Should [name_f]Etta[/name_f] be [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Etta[/name_f]?

Which middle names would you suggest for each?

Thank you!

I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f].

I absolutely love [name_f]Mae[/name_f]! I have known a young [name_f]Mae[/name_f], and her name was so refreshing and upbeat, sweet but strong.

I think [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is a better name then [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Etta[/name_f]

[name_f]Mae[/name_f]! So cheerful and funky

[name_f]Etta[/name_f], and I prefer it as a standalone name. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is extremely overused as a middle name and as the second part of double-barrelled names where I live, which has taken the shine off it for me, even though it’s a perfectly sweet and stylish name.

[name_f]Etta[/name_f] is fun, funky and youthful. Something long, pretty and bold for the middle name, like [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] or [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], would be stunning.

I love [name_f]Etta[/name_f]! It’s unique and so sweet. I’d pick a long, feminine middle name like [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] etc but something spunkier like [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] works too.

I prefer [name_f]Etta[/name_f] (just [name_f]Etta[/name_f]). [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], like pp mentioned, is super cute. Some other middles that spring to mind: [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Romilly[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]

[name_f]Etta[/name_f] as a standalone

I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f], though like the tradtional spelling [name_f]May[/name_f] even more. If you use [name_f]Etta[/name_f] though I would stick with just [name_f]Etta[/name_f].

[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]

I love just [name_f]Etta[/name_f]. I feel [name_f]Mae[/name_f] just seems a bit unfinished.

I prefer [name_f]Etta[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], nn [name_f]Etta[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f], it feels more youthful. [name_f]Etta[/name_f] is nice too, but, unusually for me as I’m not a big fan of nickname names, I prefer it as is. [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] is a bit too stuffy for me.
