I adore [name_f]Etta[/name_f]. It’s feisty and fun! I think it’s plenty spunky and substantial enough to stand alone.

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is lovely too but feels a little more sweet and twee to me, whereas I generally prefer girl names with stronger, more energetic sounds.

I really like both of these and go back and forth but today the vote went to Etta. Also just want to throw it out there that Etta Mabel makes for a very sweet combo.

I really love both! While I prefer [name_f]Etta[/name_f] slightly for its brevity and and punch, in my accent, Ts in the middle of words get flattened to Ds. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is very sweet, and I think my accent suits it a little better. I’m going to vote for [name_f]Etta[/name_f], but it’s essentially a tie!
