Is there any other way to get to [name]Etta[/name] besides [name]Henrietta[/name]? [name]Henrietta[/name] is a beautiful name but I think that is a lot to strap a little girl with, even with the NN [name]Etta[/name]. I think [name]Etta[/name] is so cute and sweet with a vintage charm, but I am afraid it is too nicknamey to stand alone. I cannot think of any other way to get [name]Etta[/name] though. Ideas?
[name]Etta[/name] is cute! What about [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name], etc? You could even do [name]Julietta[/name] or [name]Violetta[/name]…
What about…
[name]Arietta[/name]
[name]Coletta[/name]
[name]Evetta[/name]
Elisavetta
[name]Gretta[/name]
[name]Loretta[/name]
[name]Lynnetta[/name]
[name]Odetta[/name]
[name]Yvetta[/name]
I think [name]Gretta[/name] is adorable for a little girl! ( maybe not everyone agrees but…) I also like Elisavetta… you could get TONS of NNs out of Elisavetta… Or spell it [name]Elisabetta[/name] and you could get betsy or betty as well as lisa, lis, eli, etta…
[name]Violetta[/name] is the first one that comes to mind.
[name]Etta[/name] is adorable
[name]Charlotte[/name] (the way it’s pronounced in my area is more like [name]Shar[/name]-let but if you’re in an area where they pronounce it [name]Shar[/name]-lot it might not work as well…)
[name]Odette[/name]
[name]Colette[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Yvette[/name]
Evolet
[name]Keturah[/name]
[name]Letitia[/name]
Marieta
[name]Susette[/name]
I’ll add [name]Olivetta[/name]!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Etta[/name]! I’ve been trying to find a full name for it also and the only one I really like is [name]Rosetta[/name]. I’ve also thought about doing a double name, [name]Etta[/name] [name]Claire[/name] being my favorite. I think if I do end up using [name]Etta[/name], I’ll use “just” [name]Etta[/name] or a double name…the more I think about it I don’t think it really needs to be a nickname for something! It’s so similar to [name]Ella[/name] and [name]Emma[/name], and [name]PLENTY[/name] of girls have those as given names!
I love [name]Henrietta[/name], but if that’s not what you want, I think [name]Julietta[/name] would be nice since you have [name]Juliette[/name] on your list.
Ooh I really like the idea of [name]Julietta[/name], [name]Nicolette[/name]/[name]Colette[/name], and [name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Juliette[/name] and [name]Harriet[/name] are my favorite names with an [name]Etta[/name] nn.
I also think [name]Etta[/name] works as a nn for names with prominent eh- and t sounds, like [name]Esther[/name], [name]Elisabeth[/name], [name]Elspeth[/name].
[name]Marietta[/name] comes to mind.
I know a [name]Joetta[/name] that goes by [name]Etta[/name] sometimes. I think it is a really beautiful name
It served [name]Etta[/name] [name]James[/name] the jazz singer well enough. What’s the matter with it as a stand alone?
[name]Etta[/name] stand alone is beautiful! I am in the process of restructuring my list and I am just not sure if [name]Etta[/name] will be too short of a name to stand on my list.
I actually know a young girl named [name]Etta[/name] as a stand alone in real life and I think it is just wonderful all by itself! Different from [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Ella[/name], but with the same feeling
Ohh, just thought of another one no one has mentioned… [name]Isabetta[/name]. It’s a variation of [name]Isabella[/name]/[name]Elizabeth[/name]. I would think it is close enough to [name]Isabella[/name] for people to know how to say it while having its own personality, and you could definitely use the nn [name]Etta[/name]! I know you’d had [name]Isabelle[/name] as a MN on your list, but I don’t know if this would appeal to you…
I like [name]Isabetta[/name]! I like it when they have more than one NN option so just incase they don’t like [name]Etta[/name] themselves they have other options, like [name]Izzy[/name] or even [name]Betty[/name] for [name]Isabetta[/name]
haha, I knew I had posted about [name]Isabetta[/name] as I was curious about it several months ago… and you’d actually commented on it, saying that you liked it then. lol. It sounds like it might have grown on you since then though.
You have such a good memory; I don’t think you ever forget anything! LOL I don’t really remember that, but my name tastes have grown by leas and bounds since I first joined Nameberry
