i actually love euphemia!! i first heard it as it’s one of the actress emilia clarke’s middle names and i just thought wow that’s so pretty. i feel like it could definitely catch on because it shares similar sounds with popular/trendy names like amelia, mia, persephone and phoebe.

oh and i love effie as a nickname :))

I like it! It feels a little weighty and grand for my personal taste, but I think it’s cool and has a really nice sound. It feels like a name that could gain some underground popularity with parents that like other names with deep roots that are a bit brave.

In think it’s really light & whispy - very fairy-like! It’s so pretty

Honestly one of my favorite names! If my partner seemed more enthusiastic about it it would be a among my top first name options for a future girl.

It’s not really my style. It looks too much like ‘euphemism’ to me.

I love [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f]!

For me [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] is a family name and even though she was exclusively known as [name_f]Effie[/name_f] I have always admired her first name.

[name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] is elegant, strong, striking and to me feels powerful. I think [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] is an intriguing choice and would be very refreshing. I also love [name_f]Effie[/name_f]! A potential sibling set [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] & [name_f]Magdalene[/name_f] would be swoon worthy :two_hearts::two_hearts:

you’ve got euphemia stuck in my head! and honestly, i’m currently in love! used to, she fit in the category of like, europa, but both have really grown on me.
perhaps it’s heavy, but also, it isn’t? it doesn’t feel clunky or dated–more of like a fairytale, ancient type of dated. the kind you want.
“effie” and “euphie” both are very darling too, which has sold me even more.

plus, i’ve been thinking about sisters euphemia + sibylla! which is adorable!

my top girl name ~
i don’t know why, but it sounds simultaneously fae-like, comfy and elegant to me, and i can see it being used for girls of varying personalities. my favourite nickname is phemi, but i’ve been warming to the thought of euphi lately too!
