Eva and Levi...too similiar?

We already have two daughters: [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Eva[/name]. We have a boy on the way and I really want to name him [name]Levi[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you think it sounds too much like [name]Eva[/name]?

[name]WAY[/name] too close, sorry! [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] are gorgeous names, though.

They are close, specially if you pronounce [name]Eva[/name] ee-vah instead of e-vah (hope that makes sense). [name]Lee[/name]-vy/ee-vah, too matchy for siblings, and [name]Amelia[/name] looks a little left out. You have a lovely taste though, I’m sure you’ll find something equally attractive but distinct.

We do pronounve it [name]EEva[/name] not [name]Ava[/name].

For my personal tastes it’s definitely too close (your daughters have lovely names!).

[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Micah[/name], [name]Noah[/name] or [name]Luke[/name]/[name]Luca[/name] at all? They all remind me of [name]Levi[/name].

Good luck!

I do like [name]Luke[/name]. What you do you all think of [name]Samuel[/name] in my sibset?

I do think they are too close. They are wonderful names though.

I love your daughters’ names, and have to agree that [name]Levi[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] are too close, because [name]Levi[/name] contains the “eve” sound.

I think that [name]Samuel[/name] is such a handsome name, and think it’s great with [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Eva[/name].

Some more Biblical names you may like with [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Eva[/name]:

Good luck!

I think [name]Samuel[/name] works beautifully!

I also realized last night that the name [name]Liam[/name] would work with your daughters’ names because even though it has the long eee sound, it doesn’t have the “v” sound repeated from [name]Eva[/name] like [name]Levi[/name].

Some people might think it’s too close still, but it doesn’t bother me.

Good luck!

Thanks! Good insight and ideas. I do like [name]Luke[/name], [name]Nathaniel[/name] and [name]Samuel[/name]. I probably can’t sell me husband on [name]Liam[/name], but maybe [name]William[/name] or [name]Will[/name], which are more traditional seeming.

[name]How[/name] about [name]Eli[/name] instead of [name]Levi[/name]? [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Eva[/name], and [name]Eli[/name]. Well, maybe some may say [name]Eli[/name] an [name]Eva[/name] and are also too close.
Or maybe

I do think [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Levi[/name] are too similar, but I like [name]Samuel[/name] with your daughters’ names.

I’m not sure what country you are in, but I’m in Australia and the way I pronounce these names do not sound similar.

Thanks for the good advice. I think we’ve decided on [name]Samuel[/name]. At least for this week…lol

I have an [name]Eva[/name] and also love [name]Levi[/name]. I discounted it for being too close. I also love [name]Eli[/name] but think that is too close as well. I love [name]Asher[/name] and am trying to decide if I like them together for our second due in two weeks. Good luck. I like [name]Isaac[/name] with [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Eva[/name].

I like [name]Samson[/name] a nice alternative to [name]Samuel[/name]. I think [name]Levi[/name] is too close.
