[name_f]Eva[/name_f] is my choice! Very pretty name, short and strong.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is cute, though not my style. I prefer [name_f]May[/name_f] to [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

I voted for [name_f]Eva[/name_f], but I don’t think [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is too much of a stretch for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. I like it.

I really love [name_f]Eva[/name_f]! So I vote [name_f]Eva[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. It has more strength and gravity and lasting power than the lighter, more ephemeral names that are fashionable at the moment. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] manages to be simple and aristocratic, feminine and powerful. It’s a real classic and one of the most beautiful.

I voted for [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], as while I slightly prefer [name_f]May[/name_f] on its own to [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] on its own, [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] makes the sweetest nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Eva[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], so you can’t go wrong either way.

I didn’t realize until now that Margaret actually means Pearl. So, in that case, don’t think it’s too much of a stretch. I like Pearl a lot so if I could change my vote I would.

I like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] a lot, it’s such a timeless classic. [name_f]May[/name_f] is my favorite nickname for it.

I do not think [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a stretch at all, the meaning of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is “pearl”. I love [name_f]Eva[/name_f], adore [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. I personally would not use a nickname. If I did, I would use [name_f]Mae[/name_f].

[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a “stretch” but it totally works. I think you can call your girl [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] if you want to, regardless of what her name is. At least there is a connection to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]

ps I also like the “[name_f]Mae[/name_f]” suggestion

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], but I’m not too keen on either of your nickname options. I prefer [name_f]Meg[/name_f], [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] or my favourite… [name_f]Peggy[/name_f]!

I voted [name_f]Eva[/name_f], which I think is stunningly simple and beautiful. It’s just a shame the Ev- family of names is so popular right now.

My favourite is [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] nn [name_f]May[/name_f]- it’s a strong, classic name with a sweet nickname that’s more girlish but still suitable for an adult. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] makes sense to people on Nameberry but most people who aren’t knowledgeable about names won’t see the connection (I have a grandma named [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] who has a sister [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and no one’s ever really noticed except for me). [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is pretty too but not as timeless to me. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Eva[/name_f] or [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] would be lovely combinations though!

I love [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] although to me it’s a bit of a stretch as a nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. [name_f]May[/name_f] feels a little more intuitive. [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is a lovely name but to my ears it’s pronounced the same as [name_f]Ava[/name_f] which is already quite popular and if I say it like [name_f]Eve[/name_f]-a it sounds like "evil to me.

My vote got [name_f]Eva[/name_f]. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is very outdated imo. I prefer [name_f]May[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - I dont see how you got to [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

@carysmarie- The meaning of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is “pearl”
