All along something has seemed off about it, but today I met an [name]Eva[/name] and it just clicked, I thought it was lovely. I think it fits a bit better on my list than [name]Eve[/name] does, and I’ve been looking for an [name]Eve[/name] replacement, anyway, since I’m not sure I’m loving it anymore. It still seems a bit short-and-sweet for my usual style, but I can see me using it over [name]Evangeline[/name] or [name]Evelina[/name], which are both way too frilly for my style these days, or [name]Evelyn[/name], which seems a bit boring to me.
I have no idea about combos, but I figured I’d see if I’d actually add it to my list before I bother with that. Also–how would you pronounce it? I’ve heard both AY-vah (or, more accurately, a softer sound like EH-vah) and EE-vah. In all honesty, I prefer the first, but I think EE-vah would work better in [name]America[/name], especially if I want to use [name]Evie[/name] (EE-vee) as a nn.
I love [name]Eva[/name] (pronounced Ee-vah). I like it so much more than the uber popular [name]Ava[/name]. Personally, I would never use it because there are so many using [name]Ava[/name] and they are so similar, but if that doesn’t bother you then great! It’s a lovely name.
[name]Both[/name] [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] are always on and off my list. [name]Eva[/name] I love with [name]Rosemary[/name] - [name]Eva[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name]. [name]Eva[/name] [name]Naomi[/name] is another frequent favorite for me.
I pronounce it Eh-va as a default, but I like Ee-va too. To me, Eh-va nn Ee-vie isn’t too weird, but if it is for you go with Ee-va.
My very best friend when I was little was named [name]Eva[/name] Stepping back and taking a look at it on its own is somewhat difficult as the association is so strong. That being said, I really do like it a lot. She pronounces it Ee-vah, so that is how I would say it. I definitely prefer it over [name]Eve[/name].
I absolutely love [name]Eva[/name]! I like the simplicity of [name]Eve[/name], but I love [name]Eva[/name] even more.
I pronounce it ee-vah. The only time I’ve heard [name]Eva[/name] pronounced any other way, is the [name]Ava[/name] pronunciation that [name]Eva[/name] Mendes uses.
My little cousin is named [name]Eva[/name]. She was born with some health issues, but is now perfectly healthy and normal, and so spunky and energetic and full of life. The name suits her so well, that it made me love the name. I think it’s beautiful.
[name]Eva[/name] is sweet and pretty and still retains a certain European flair. To avoid being lumped in with all of the [name]Ava[/name]'s, I think “EE-vah” would be the best pronunciation.
I really love this one, too. [name]Eve[/name] has been catching my eye more lately, but [name]Eva[/name] is a name that’s been on and off my lists for years. I have always and still pronounce it Ee-vah. I rarely hear it Eh-vah (in TX or MD).
lol, [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Eva[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] was a combo on my short list years ago. I don’t know, though–none of these combos really strike me. I knew when I first started looking at [name]Eva[/name] that finding a combo would be a nightmare, though–there are just certain names I know it’ll be a nightmare to find the perfect combo, and I’m sure [name]Eva[/name] will be one of them, haha.
Gorgeous! I first noticed it when reading [name]Eva[/name] [name]Luna[/name] and thought then how great it looked on paper. Easy to say, easy to spell, and it has one of the best meanings you could find.
I would pronounce it ee-vuh. I know a lady named [name]Eva[/name], this pronunciation. I also know a Hispanic lady, [name]Eva[/name], but pronounced [name]Ava[/name]. It personally isn’t my style, but is a very pretty, short and simple name. I think it would work well on your list, too!
Thanks, ladies! I’m still not decided for sure, but I think I’d need a full combo to decide whether or not to keep it. Any stellar combo ideas? I’m not sure there’s anything out there I would really love with [name]Eva[/name], but I figured I’d see if I could find something appealing.
