Evangeline August

Hello!! I am getting closer and closer to due date and had finally settled on a girls name! [name]Evangeline[/name]. However I seem to be stuck for a middle name! I really would love to use my grandfathers name, he passed away rather young and this will be the first great grandchild. His name was [name]August[/name]. Which I’m noticing more and more is acceptable for a girl. So my question is, thoughts on [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]August[/name] ?! The last name is 2 syllable ending in -ey. Thanks!

[name]Evangeline[/name] is gorgeous but [name]August[/name] is a boys name. [name]Augusta[/name] would be a great way to honor your grandfather. [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] is so beautiful.

I like [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]August[/name] a lot, especially due to the connection with your grandfather.

I love [name]Evangeline[/name] and [name]August[/name] in the middle spot is a fine way to honour your grandfather.

Fun Fact: singer [name]Garth[/name] [name]Brooks[/name] has a daughter named [name]August[/name] [name]Anna[/name].

[name]August[/name] [name]Anna[/name] is such a great name! I never knew that… But I have noticed that [name]August[/name] is definatley accepted as a girls name… I don’t quite like the ring of [name]Augusta[/name]… Not sure why since it is only a difference one 1 letter, it just isn’t te same of you know what I mean!! Thanks for the opinions.

I really love [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]August[/name]. I like it on its own, and especially for your grandfather. I dont see why you shouldn’t use it!
[name]August[/name] is a month, so really it could be used for either gender. I always enjoy [name]August[/name] when its used for either.
Congrats on your little girl!

This is exactly how I feel. Well actually I like [name]Augustine[/name] best but it felt overdone with [name]Evangeline[/name] so [name]Augusta[/name] just seems perfect.

Normally I’m not a fan of [name]August[/name] (boy or girl) but if it’s your grandfather’s name, I’d say go for it. The combo does sound kind of cute

Best of luck!

[name]August[/name] up front would scream boy to me, but it’s a middle name, no biggy. I think the problem I have is that I’m picturing a yankee candle…

I actually like someone’s suggestion of [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] better, for that reason. BUT it’s not a terrible name, just not my taste.

Wow, that is stunning. Go for it! While [name]August[/name] on a boy to me sounds sort of moldy prep school, [name]August[/name] on a girl sounds bright, sunshiny, and lovely. I think of the month, not the man’s name. Especially since it was your grandfather’s name, you should do it.

[name]Just[/name] promise me you won’t call your baby [name]Vangie[/name]. I have a professor named [name]Evangeline[/name] and she goes by [name]Vangie[/name]. WHAT?! You have a gorgeous and unique name. [name]Don[/name]'t ruin it. I take it a bit too personally, I think.

I love it! I think the combo sounds lovely and creative together. And I love that you are using a middle name that is so meaningful to you. Definitely a keeper!

[name]August[/name] the month was named after Emperor [name]Augustus[/name] the person, who was a guy

I think it’s fine. I prefer [name]Eve[/name] [name]August[/name], though. More simple and less elaborate, yet still pretty and graceful. Plus, there’s that cute nickname [name]Evie[/name].

I don’t have a problem with it at all.
I originally thought [name]August[/name] was a girls name, but I found out otherwise.
I really like it
Especially with a very feminine first name, she can pull it off.

[name]Evangeline[/name] [name]August[/name], is lovely especially when it honors  my hubby likes [name]August[/name] for a girl!
