I have both on my short list so it’s damn hard to choose. 1) I have the same fear. It’s getting popular, but I guess it won’t be a top 10 popular or something. 2) definitely! I’d love to meet a baby [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f].
With [name_f]Alice[/name_f], I like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] better. I don’t think [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] is going to get super popular, but I do think it’s kind of extravagant next to [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. I’d use [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], or [name_f]Eva[/name_f] instead.
I love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. It’s such a pretty name, but I have never met anyone with this name. I think a lot of people love it but don’t actually use it.
I can absolutely picture a baby [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], and she’s adorable! Plus [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] as a name has a great meaning, linkage to [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] and scientists (a big plus in my book) making it a wonderful name to grow into.
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] also make a great sibling pair. I don’t see [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f], but it would be a shame to shorten such a lovely name to [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I honestly really like BOTH names!
I tried to get my husband on board with [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (not pregnant yet, but hoping to be one day ) , but he didn’t like the sound of it.
But, for a sister for [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] goes well.
I think [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] seems to be one of the go to names for parents who want to give their children ‘different’ names. Of course that isn’t a bad thing, but it will probably see an increase in popularity to some extent, but not top 10 popular.
Definitely! [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is a great name for someone of any age. Plus it goes perfectly with [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] would be my choice of the two because I love the vintage feel, and the connection to [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] (as a historian and hopefully biochemist/geneticist she’s an inspirational figure for me).
Definitely [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] for me. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f]!In answer to your Qs: 1) I don’t think so and 2) Not really…but that’s only because the only [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] I know is oldish.
I love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]! Yes I think it is going through a popular stage but I feel like people will still like.
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is a great name, even on a baby as you can use nicknames. [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] are lovely names for a baby girl!
I love both. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] feels a wee bit more current, but [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is an old favorite of mine and the one I would choose.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] are perfect together! It’s a name I have liked for many years and I have never met an [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], so I don’t think it’s surging or anything that you need to worry about. I am not a [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] fan–the sound bothers me personally and sounds a bit clunky to me with [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] is great.
I think [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] is becoming more familiar, but I don’t ever think it will be Top 10, or even Top 25, unless some association comes along that makes it wildly popular.
I can absolutely picture [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] on a baby.
I think I would use [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] before [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f].
