Eve / Snow Middle Name Problems

I’m really liking the idea of [name]Eve[/name] as a middle, because my due date is [name]Christmas[/name] [name]Eve[/name]. BUT, we are likely using a first name ending in and “e” sound. Is it going to sound terrible? Our top names with [name]Eve[/name]:

[name]Amy[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Annie[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Maggie[/name] [name]Eve[/name]

I have considered “[name]Evie[/name]” as a first name, but I’m worried it would be pronounced eh-vie instead of ee-ve (my preferred prn), does that make sense?

Another possibility I really like is using [name]Snow[/name] as a middle, BUT my current favorite is [name]Sadie[/name]. And my husband immediate called her THE S.S. Ourlastname. Plus, it’s a lot of s sound. So, I don’t know.

Other middle names we like are [name]Mae[/name] (after husband’s Grandma [name]Margaret[/name]), [name]Kate[/name], and [name]Rose[/name]. Should I avoid [name]Eve[/name]? Only use [name]Snow[/name] for something other than [name]Sadie[/name]? Any other ideas for me? Thanks!

I love the name [name]Evie[/name] as a stand alone first name! I would definitely only pronounce it as ee-ve and don’t see why people would mess that up. I think [name]Evie[/name] [name]Rose[/name] sounds good. Not sure how I feel about [name]Snow[/name] though. Another christmas name that I love is [name]Noelle[/name]!

I don’t think the -ee ending sound works with [name]Eve[/name] as a middle. I like your names. They just don’t work with [name]Eve[/name]. Which sucks because I love [name]Eve[/name] too. :frowning:

I am an alliteration fan, and I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Sadie[/name] [name]Snow[/name]. I think it’s glorious. Idk if the S.S. will be problematic or not. That’s your call. But I’d probably do it. It’s beautiful and cute at the same time.

I love [name]Eve[/name] as a first name, but I dislike the name [name]Evie[/name]. Still, being totally objective even if you want to call her [name]Evie[/name], I would name her [name]Eve[/name] officially and call her that. You and she both will be glad you did when she gets older and has the option of a proper first with a bit more gravitas.

That said, if you do decide on [name]Evie[/name] as a first I don’t see any pronunciation problems. I feel pretty confident that most will see it and say EE-vee.

Although my taste is not exactly the same as yours I really like your style and think you’re gonna come up with something really good. I would encourage you though to keep thinking outside the box with middles. [name]Snow[/name] and [name]Eve[/name] are awesome, but [name]May[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] feel a bit tired, frankly. Other one syllable middles you might consider are [name]Liv[/name] and [name]Faye[/name]. [name]Sadie[/name] [name]Faye[/name] is adorable.

Good luck!

If the last name is long, then some of these are possible. If your last name is short. I would find either a longer first name or middle name.
[name]Maggie[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] are such a nicknams . The rest are fine. I don’t think they sound good with [name]Eve[/name] though. I like
[name]Robyn[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Eve[/name] nn [name]Rosie[/name]
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Eve[/name] nn [name]Gracie[/name]

[name]Holly[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Snow[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Snow[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Snow[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
I don’t [name]Sadie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] seems ok. Not sure one way or the other.

[name]How[/name] about [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Eve[/name] nn [name]Maggie[/name]?

I love the idea or [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Eve[/name] or [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Snow[/name] with [name]Maggie[/name] as a nickname! Great suggestion.

[name]Maggie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is adorable.

[name]Eve[/name] is a gorgeous name and I really don’t think you would have a problem with people pronouncing [name]Evie[/name] wrong. I’m pretty sure most people know [name]Evie[/name] is pronounced Ee-vee. It’s really lovely. [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] would be so cute!
I love [name]Eve[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]. [name]Annie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is also an adorable option.

That is beautiful that you’re incorporating her birthday so cleverly in her name! You know, [name]Natalia[/name] and [name]Natasha[/name] mean “born on [name]Christmas[/name] day”, but putting [name]Eve[/name] after that would make it “born on [name]Christmas[/name] [name]Eve[/name]”? It solves your problem of the first name ending with an “e”, plus, how many girls with this name are actually born on or near [name]Christmas[/name]?? I think that would be absolutely awesome to have an explanation like that for a name. Nicknames could be Nat, Talia, Lia, Tally, or Tasha.

And just in case, like babies sometimes like to do, she doesn’t actually come out on [name]Christmas[/name] [name]Eve[/name], [name]Natalia[/name] or [name]Natasha[/name] [name]Rose[/name] would be darling. “[name]Christmas[/name] [name]Rose[/name]”, so pretty!

[name]Hope[/name] my two cents didn’t bother you!

All the other choices just don’t seem to flow well with [name]Eve[/name], being that they’re so short, one to two syllable names. If you made the first name [name]Evie[/name], [name]Mae[/name] or [name]Rose[/name] would go the best with it. If you were just going with [name]Eve[/name] as the first name, none of the names really go with it, as they’re all so short.

My daughters middle name is eve. It’s a beautiful name.

I think [name]Sadie[/name] [name]Eve[/name] is a great combo. [name]Sadie[/name] snow doesn’t sound as good. I don’t think any of your other first names go well with eve I’m sorry :frowning:

[name]Sadie[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is also very cute!

Good luck

I love [name]Evie[/name] as a first name, I immediately pronounced it ee-vie also. my favorite choices are:
[name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] and [name]Evie[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. Someone suggested [name]Noelle[/name] to represent the [name]Christmas[/name] due date, I think [name]Evie[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] is adorable too.
