Eve

I absolutely love the name [name]Eve[/name], and my SO is finally onboard (although we will not be TTC for a few years). Anyway, his last name starts with an “L” and is one syllable and sounds like “[name]Lukes[/name].” Does [name]Eve[/name] L___ make you think of the world “evil”? Also, do you think [name]Eve[/name] with a one syllable last name sounds too choppy? Finally, does the repeating sound in [name]Eve[/name] [name]Maureen[/name] bother you? Any thoughts would be great. THANK YOU!

I absolutely love [name]Eve[/name]!! Fantastic choice!! I do not think there would be a problem with hearing the word “evil” at all. I agree that a one syllable first name with a one syllable last name is probably not ideal, but I really don’t think it’s a deal breaker. And [name]Eve[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] happens to sound very balanced and so I think it flows well. I’m not crazy about [name]Maureen[/name], though. Does it have special meaning to you? With [name]Eve[/name] [name]Lukes[/name], I would definitely use a much longer middle.

Thank you for your feedback! I am not concerned about it sounding like “evil,” but my SO is a bit, which is why I wanted to run it by some other people.

The reason I am considering [name]Maureen[/name] is because it is my mother’s middle name, and I would love to honor her if I ever have a daughter. However, [name]Liliana[/name] might work as well (her name is [name]Ann[/name] and her favorite flowers are lilies). Not to mention, she often uses “[name]Lilyana[/name]” for online screen names. [name]How[/name] does [name]Eve[/name] [name]Liliana[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] sound?

I really like the sound of [name]Liliana[/name] [name]Lukes[/name], but I don’t know if I’m crazy about the flow of [name]Eve[/name] [name]Liliana[/name] . . . it’s not terrible, but I feel like the flow in the full name [name]Eve[/name] [name]Liliana[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] somehow pulls energy away from [name]Eve[/name], and toward [name]Liliana[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] and the name feels unbalanced overall, if that makes sense. I would prefer something starting with a vowel in the middle, I think, to keep a strong emphasis on [name]Eve[/name]. My first thought, to honor your Mom [name]Ann[/name], would be [name]Eve[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] - what do you think of that?

Ooh! [name]Eve[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name] is divine. Thanks for the idea!

I love the name [name]Eve[/name] too. [name]Eve[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] (or something like it) does not sound like Evil to me at all. And I love [name]Eve[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name]

[name]Eve[/name] is GORGEOUS – one of my all-time favorite names! [name]Eve[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] does not make me think of the word ‘evil.’ I like the name [name]Maureen[/name], but it does not flow well with [name]Eve[/name]. ([name]Eve[/name] [name]Maureen[/name] makes me think of the actresses [name]Eve[/name] Plumb and [name]Maureen[/name] McCormick - sisters [name]Jan[/name] and [name]Marcia[/name] [name]Brady[/name] from The [name]Brady[/name] Bunch – which is a good thing.)

I love the idea of honoring your mother with your daughter’s name. [name]Eve[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] is stunning!

I think [name]Eve[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] is fine, if a bit choppy. [name]Eve[/name] [name]Liliana[/name] is beautiful! I like [name]Maureen[/name] and [name]Anastasia[/name] too.

Would you consider [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Lukes[/name] nn [name]Eve[/name]?

I love [name]Eve[/name]! It’s on my favourite names list  But I’m definitely not a fan of choppy 1 syllable first and last names. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Evangeline[/name], Everleigh, [name]Eveny[/name], or possibly [name]Evie[/name]?

[name]Eve[/name] is gorgeous! I don’t think it sounds like "evil’ (I didn’t think of that at all!) [name]Eve[/name] [name]Liliana[/name] “[name]Lukes[/name]” is nice, but I prefer [name]Eve[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name]. [name]Eve[/name] “[name]Lukes[/name]” is a bit abrupt, but it isn’t too bad…
