Do you think Emeline (same as Emmeline but it’s the more popular version of it written where I live) would be too close to Evelina for them to be sisters?
Unfortunately I think they share too many sounds, yes. It’d feel a bit too matchy and people might get their names mixed up.
Yeah I think unless they were twins it’s a bit matchy!
Some potential suggestions for a sister of [name_f]Evelina[/name_f]:
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
Yeah, I think they’re too similar
[name_f]My[/name_f] sister has girls named [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! They also have a sister, [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
I think they’re too similar, unfortunately.
I agree that they are too similar, but maybe you’d like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Emeline[/name_f]?
I think [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] & [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] make sweet sisters
and btw @esqaz your nieces’ names are gorgeous!
Sorta. I love [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] and it’s not my usual kind of name. [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] is fine, but [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] flows.
Unfortunately I do think that [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] and [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] are too similar. They both have e?e at the start and ending in lin?
They are a bit close, but I honestly feel like it’s not a big deal. Sure, people might mix it up from time to time, but they’re going to be their own people with their own lives and matching names won’t hold them back. Thing is, when it comes to names, unless you live in a particular country that says otherwise, there are no rules saying what you can and can’t name your kids… I’ve known twins that had literally the same name!
I will also take the chance to promote my favourite name, [name_f]Evaluna[/name_f], to you – it seems like a name you might like, and goes well with [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] without seeming quite as matchy.
To be concise, yes, too close
