[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - soft sound, pretty
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] - classic, soft and holy, somehow. It just has this mature, sacred aura to it.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] - lovely sound, rolls off the tongue.
[name_f]Everlee[/name_f] - I like how this reminds me of “forever” and eternity as well as eternal love. It looks more like [name_u]Ever[/name_u] + [name_u]Lee[/name_u], which has a better meaning than [name_u]Everly[/name_u].
Thoughts? Which images do the names give you? How would you imagine girls named this and their parents?
I like [name_f]Eva[/name_f] too, but as a middle name so I’m not including it here.
Evelyn! Sweet and timeless. I agree with your view of Eve, and she’s also very wintery. The other two have a modern American feel to them which isn’t my style!
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] is my favorite from your list! She’s got a simple yet elegant beauty to her, and she feels more distinct than the others on your list, while still feeling familiar. She makes me think of sun-faded dresses, warm golden meadows, speckled wood pigeons, nearly full moons, and snow. And “life” is such a lovely meaning!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite would actually be [name_f]Evie[/name_f] but out of yours, I would pick [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. I know some find it too cutesy but I like it, I think it has a pretty sound.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] feels lacy, socialite, lively and Victorian for a girl and posh, academic, confident and antique for a boy.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] feels very religious to me for some reason. Reminds me of [name_u]Christmas[/name_u], [name_u]Christian[/name_u] families and [name_u]France[/name_u]. And the colour pink, and doves.
For the other two I have to agree with [name_f]Maya[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is definitely [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] that is vibrant, theorically gender neutral and full of its own beauty. It was used also in various Victorian novels.
