Evelyn, Yvette & Eve

I don’t usually go for -lyn names, but I like [name]Evelyn[/name]. What are your impressions? Classic? Dated? Trashy? Gorgeous?

[name]Yvette[/name] appeals to me too. I know people hate -ette names cause they aren’t fashionable in Francut I’m in the US and I like clunky names anyway a lot of the time. So what are your impressions.

[name]Eve[/name] is so simple & so popular…why is it hard to imagine using a name so short? [name]Do[/name] you berries feel like you want more name?

Any other [name]Eve[/name] names or suggestions/opinions appreciated.

I think is fine on it’s own, but if you want a longer name, [name]Eve[/name] will work for [name]Evelyn[/name] and [name]Yvette[/name] (thought I would suggest [name]Evette[/name])

Other [name]Eve[/name] names:
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Everly[/name]
[name]Evonne[/name]/[name]Yvonne[/name]

[name]One[/name] that is a little out there, but I find pretty is [name]Evening[/name], this is gp of mine

[name]Evening[/name] is kind of cute & very southern/charming to me…like [name]Early[/name] on a boy that comes earlier than expected, [name]Evening[/name] could be sweet on a baby born in the [name]Evening[/name]!

[name]Evette[/name] looks strange to me for some reason…

I am considering [name]Evelyn[/name] as a name as well. Have been tossing around [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Evalee[/name], and [name]Evie[/name]. It would be the first middle name for [name]Claire[/name] _____ [name]Mae[/name]. I love all three! Also some other variations: Evangaline (that was mentioned), [name]Evaline[/name], and [name]Evette[/name].

[name]Evelyn[/name] is beautiful and classic to me. [name]Yvette[/name] seems kind of dated to me, and it’s not a name I can picture on a little girl or a teenager. [name]Eve[/name] is simple and sweet, and I love it. I don’t think it’s too short to use on its own, but there are many [name]Eve[/name] names you can use as well.

I’d suggest some [name]Eve[/name] names, but all the ones I could think of have already been mentioned, so I’d just be repeating them!

[name]Evelyn[/name] is pretty classy but I knew two of them at my work so it’s kind of common for me. I don’t mind [name]Eve[/name] on its own because it has so much history that it’s a timeless. I do like [name]Evelina[/name].

I’ve grown to like [name]Yvette[/name]. I think it’s pretty and sophisticated.

I really want to like [name]Evangeline[/name]. I love [name]Eve[/name], I love [name]Angelina[/name]…why don’t I like [name]Evangeline[/name]?

[name]Evelina[/name] is really pretty, but I can’t see myself using it.

[name]Eveline[/name]
[name]Evelin[/name]
[name]Evalin[/name]
[name]Evaline[/name]

It all looks strange/made up to me!

It’s probably because those names aren’t as common or well known.

I don’t know if these have been mentioned, but I thought of a few more:
[name]Evie[/name]
[name]Eva[/name]
[name]Evadne[/name]
[name]Evony[/name]
[name]Evanthe[/name]
Evania
Evana
Evonnia

[name]Evadne[/name] is gorgeous!

I prefer [name]Yvette[/name] to [name]Evelyn[/name], simply because my grandmother is an [name]Evelyn[/name]. But I do think [name]Evelyn[/name] is pretty. There was a little baby [name]Evelyn[/name] at my church was absolutely adorable! [name]Yvette[/name] I like because I like the “eev” sound but not so much the “ehveh” sound. [name]Yvette[/name] is a way to get “eev” and not “ehveh”.
I prefer [name]Eva[/name] to [name]Eve[/name], because as you said, [name]Eve[/name] seems a little lacking. [name]Eva[/name] can stand on its own, I feel.
