Everben/Everbern

I came across the name Everbern/Everben earlier and although it’s nms I thought it might match a lot of [name_u]Berry[/name_u] styles! Especially as a middle name. I hope this finds the right people :))

Ooh, Everben is intriguing. It reminds of a mix between [name_m]Eben[/name_m] and [name_u]Evren[/name_u] which i like!

I’ve never heard of them but we could assign the meaning “boar bear” to Everbern and “boar son” to Everben.
A similar name that I’m surprised hasn’t gotten more love on NB yet is Enver (b), it seems to fit the soft boys’ name trend that we currently experience and the meaning “brighter” is also really lovely.
@ethelmary it’s a Turkish name, correct? Is it popular in Turkey? I’m surprised it’s not more popular with Turkish parents in [name_u]Germany[/name_u] as it’s similar to [name_f]Lale[/name_f] (which is common) in that it fits current [name_m]German[/name_m] naming trends while still having a Turkish origin.

Enver? Yes it’s a Turkish name. It’s familiar, not overused but well established. Not popular anymore though, all Envers I know are 45-50 and older

Oo I like Enver! Reminds me a bit of the word Envy but I think I could get past it

It would be really interesting to see how naming trends differ between people with Turkish backgrounds in [name_u]Germany[/name_u] and people living in Turkey; I wonder if they go for more traditional/dated names here?!

@enwmn sorry for hijacking your thread, haha. I think it’s similar to [name_f]Violet[/name_f] in that if you want to see violent it’s definitely there but it’s also pretty easy to get past “envy” once the name is a little more familiar.
I think it could shine in combos with either a very summery vibe or a slightly heavier, dark academia vibe; it has the lightness for the former and the gravitas for the latter.
Something like Enver [name_u]Augustine[/name_u] or Enver [name_m]Hadrian[/name_m] [name_m]Yves[/name_m]?!

Oo yes I can get on board with both of those they’re stunning! For myself I’d probably go for something like Enver [name_u]Claude[/name_u]

I thought of that one as well, I think it’s beautiful!

I’ll add it to my long non-UC combo list hehe

Ooh I like this!! I found a record for Everbern on the Dictionary of Medieval Names with the meaning “boar bear” (as @OpheliaFlora said). :boar::bear:

Btw, if anyone’s interested there’s some real gems on that website - I’m not sure how accurate the information is but if you’re just looking for interesting sounds it’s great. I found Othilde on there!
