Also need middle name ideas. Would like to pick from a family name (in keeping with tradition of the other three) but open to suggestions. Our last name ends - ley
I prefer [name_u]Everett[/name_u], though [name_u]Everest[/name_u] is nice if you’re worried about popularity. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] seems to be on trend right now.
Another that you’re probably not interested in, but I’m going to throw it out there anyway: [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]. [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] / [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] / [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] / [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] / [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] would all be super handsome.

We are leaning towards [name_u]Everest[/name_u] because of the popularity of [name_u]Everett[/name_u] (learned the hard way with [name_u]Ayden[/name_u]) but at the same time aren’t sure because of the uniqueness of [name_u]Everest[/name_u].
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u] is a great name. Unfortunately a friend growing up had a boxer named [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] and every time I hear the name all I think of is a big slobbering dog that could say “mama” lol
Because I love both names and can be purely positive.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_u]Everest[/name_u]?
[name_m]Both[/name_m] fine, noble names.
I see an [name_u]Everett[/name_u] as being a brilliant entomologist or professor or writer with dark hair, good-looking, sweet. Like [name_u]Cary[/name_u] [name_m]Grant[/name_m] in Bringing Up [name_u]Baby[/name_u]?
I see [name_u]Everest[/name_u] as being good-looking too in a blondey way. An outdoorsman, climbing alpine peaks (sorry! the name is suggestive). Hearty and intelligent and resourceful.
That’s me, but it might help if you did a little paragraph on how you see the two names on a grown man.
Unless your family are mountain climbers, have a special connection with Nepal and Mount [name_u]Everest[/name_u] or are fans of Sir [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_u]Hillary[/name_u], I would go with the classic [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] flow well.
I am really loving [name_u]Everest[/name_u] lately. The MNs I like with it are [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_m]Allen[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m].
[name_u]Everest[/name_u]! [name_u]Everett[/name_u] isn’t as substantial as a name to me. And [name_u]Everest[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] is the height of perfection : )
By far one of the most helpful replies to my question! Thank you for the word picture. [name_m]Both[/name_m] descriptions could be very accurate since you basically described my other three boys and their Daddy (just reverse the dark/light coloring) .
My husband is still leaning towards [name_u]Everest[/name_u] and I’m inclined to agree although most of the time when I say it out loud [name_u]Everett[/name_u] seems to come out better. So still we waver.
I think both names are very handsome, and you won’t go wrong with either.
I tend to worry about popularity when I consider names. I feel like [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is rising. I hear it a lot. The upside is that people really respond well to [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. I haven’t really heard anyone ever say anything negative about it, which is rare. It is simply a great name.
My personal choice, however, would be [name_u]Everest[/name_u]. It’s unique, without being weird. I think it would be adorable on a little boy, and it will be gorgeous on a man. It’s the type of uncommon name that no one would bat an eyelash at because it is so useable. I think it’s a choice that most people would really admire.
My favorite mn is [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]. I love both [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_u]Everest[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m].
