I have an [name_u]Everett[/name_u], so might be biased. But the compliments I get on the name are that it is strong, and it is a “man’s name” rather than a “baby’s name” (this is a huge compliment to me!).

I like [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. I think it’s a strong, handsome name. I don’t mind the popularity of it. I also agree with @anotherjessicaann that it sounds more like a man’s name than it does a baby’s name.

I love [name_u]Everett[/name_u]! I also love the cool nicknames that come along with it, [name_u]Ever[/name_u] and/or [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] are both great. We actually have [name_u]Everett[/name_u] on our short list, but are a bit hesitant to actually use it since we have a friend named [name_m]Rhett[/name_m].

I like [name_u]Everett[/name_u], myself. I have a feeling it’s going to be a new ‘discovery’ in the next few years. It’s still outside the top 100 at #167 for now, though. I think of [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Hitch[/name_m], which isn’t a bad thing at all.

Is it popular? I’ve yet to run across one. I do agree that it has a very rugged, masculine feeling. Which I personally like.

Used to be one of my favorites! But I said something about it to my Grandpa once, and his response was “[name_m]DON[/name_m]'T name your kid [name_m]Evert[/name_m]…” and it kind of ruined it for me. I think maybe he knew someone with that name that he didn’t like, and I guess he has told multiple family members how much he hates it! Anyway, I was sad to get rid of it, but I couldn’t get over that response for some reason. I think it’s a great name with lots of good nickname potential, and that it is a name that will age well and not seem too trendy.

I really like [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. It’s strong, masculine, and has an appealing appearance and sound. It’s just a bit too trendy for my taste.

I really love it. I think it is strong, yes, and rather charming. :slight_smile: It has plenty of optional NNs for young and old, that can adapt as he grows.

I like it. It is one of the few surname names that I find actually very handsome.

It reminds me of leverets. And leverets are really cute so that’s only a good thing.

I really like the name [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. It was my husband’s grandfather’s name and my father-in-law’s middle name. My husband is not fond of it because, apparently, his grandfather was not a nice guy. :frowning:
