People are weird and will find a problem with every name you love, I have found. Someone is always going to dislike it for one reason or another. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is not at all hard to pronounce and is very cute.
That said, I voted for [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] because I prefer it. Some people pronounce it that way at first, when reading it off a paper, but I think the name naturally lends itself to your preferred pronunciation and I don’t think that would be a big issue.
Totally agree with cristinamaria, everyone will find a problem with a name you like and I think they are both completely straightforward but I prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], it’s more feminine and pretty and quite unique too. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] just sounds a little bit too trendy for me, but there’s nothing wrong with it.
I voted [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] because I like the name better, but if you prefer [name_u]Everly[/name_u], I think it’s a great name and you should go with it.
It is easy to pronounce especially when you see it written. I don’t think you would have too much trouble with it being mistaken for [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] unless you were relaying the name on a cell phone while driving through a tunnel. LOL
I’m in the minority, but I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]. I think she’ll go through life being called [name_f]Melody[/name_f] by mistake, and I find it more arduous to pronounce than [name_u]Everly[/name_u].
I prefer [name_u]Everly[/name_u] and am kind of surprised someone thought it was hard to pronounce. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is pretty but a little frilly for my personal tastes. And I feel I should mention that a lot of people may not pronounce it ending in -deA but just “dee”
I personally prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], and she got my vote, but there’s nothing wrong with [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. I don’t understand the mispronunciation of [name_u]Everly[/name_u] at all…it seems so obvious to me. While I quite like the sound, I dislike the appearance (it feels so trendy), but yeah…I really don’t ‘get’ the difficult to pronounce thing at all!
