Everly

I read that [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is predicted to be #35 on the popularity list for 2014. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it will be one of the trendy girl names? I don’t want something trendy or popular. Our only other favorite is [name_f]Anora[/name_f].

I do think [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is going to be very popular in these next few years and I do think it will be trendy and become dated one day. With that being said, I do love the name [name_u]Everly[/name_u] and think it’s beautiful. If you’re trying to avoid trendy though, I would go with [name_f]Anora[/name_f] which is also beautiful. If you like E names, there is always [name_f]Elora[/name_f] which has a very similar sound to [name_f]Anora[/name_f]. Nice choices

I guess it’s still between [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Anora[/name_f]. We decided against [name_f]Eliane[/name_f] because of the similarity to [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] - we thought people would see it and get it confused.

And either way, her middle name is [name_m]Rune[/name_m].

In that case, a million times my vote goes to [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. It’s one of my favorites that my FI has said no to so I’ll never get to use it. [name_f]Anora[/name_f] is still beautiful too but I definitely prefer [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and it flows better with [name_m]Rune[/name_m].

Wow, that would be a huge jump! It’s in the 900s now! Where did you read that?

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] is definitely trendy, and while it still ranks pretty low on the popularity list, there have been a couple celeb babies born in the past few years named [name_u]Everly[/name_u]-whatever-spelling… I think [name_u]Channing[/name_u] [name_u]Tatum[/name_u]'s kid will have made a difference, people love him, and the name is “unique” but has a common construction, so I could see it really rising with his influence.

Personally, I do prefer [name_f]Anora[/name_f], even disregarding any issues with trendiness.

That’s not a stat in terms of actual births, I’m pretty sure that’s how it ranks in terms of most-searched on BabyCenter (and nowhere else).
