It’s been a hectic few months, but our little boy arrived in [name_f]September[/name_f] 2018.
Our son, [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] -*** entered the world at 3:10pm on 25 [name_f]September[/name_f] 2018, at 7 pound 9 ounces and 52cm. We couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to see what life has in store for us

[name_m]How[/name_m] we chose his name:
We had [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] picked for like 12 months before we ever started trying for a baby. I had watched Gossip Girl and the name [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] got stuck in my head and i couldn’t shake it. I eventually mentioned to my partner “I like the name [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m],” he said “okay,” and that was that. (I refuse to tell anyone that I got the name from Gossip Girl hahaha). My grandmother had never heard of the name when we announced it, but once my mother told her it was biblical she jumped on board.
As for his middle name, I made up a list of a few names that I would be okay with. Some of these were [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Julian[/name_m], [name_m]Xavier[/name_m], and so on. I was leaning towards [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] but my partner really liked [name_u]Carter[/name_u] and I figured since he didn’t put up a fight on the first name, I could let it slide. (I’m not one for using ‘family names’ as I feel they already have a life attached to them, but [name_u]Carter[/name_u] happened to be my paternal grandfather’s middle name.)
