I’m pregnant with our second child (we are not finding out the gender) and there’s not a single name that makes my heart sing. We are finding boys particularly hard… which is worrying because I am pretty sure this one’s a boy!
Choosing our daughters name was so easy - we both adored her name from the moment we discovered it. The problem is, this time around, everything seems a little lacklustre compared to our daughters name - E u l @ l i e. (yoo-lay-lee).
I ask that you please respect our privacy and don’t repeat our daughters name (unless you copy the coded way I have written it above). I don’t want her name to come up in search engines. Thank you!
Here’s the boys list so far. I seem to like the initial E, but I don’t really mind repeating initials if the sound is completely different.
I think your whole list is good, although I might skip [name]Clement[/name], since that name is always a pope to me, for some reason, and it’s not every boy who can pull that off. I think [name]Caspian[/name] and [name]Augustine[/name] may be the best fit with your daughter’s name.
Personally I love [name]August[/name] and think it would go great with your daughters name. I would use it myself I we didn’t already have a girl named [name]June[/name]! Good luck!
[name]Caspian[/name] [name]Louis[/name] or [name]Louis[/name] [name]Caspian[/name]
[name]Edmund[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Oscar[/name] [name]Winslow[/name] (not too fond of [name]Winslow[/name] but it makes a good combo)
[name]Charles[/name] [name]Augustine[/name]
[name]Barnaby[/name] [name]Clement[/name]
[name]Edwin[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] or [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Edwin[/name]
[name]Roland[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]
[name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Louis[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]
[name]Frederick[/name] [name]Onslow[/name]
Your daughter’s name is so exotic-sounding and has great history. None of the boys’ names on your list really feel the same, so I completely understand how you feel they are lackluster.
I would look to the same time period that your daughter’s name came from and look for Romantic boys’ names or go even earlier to Shakespearean times… for me it would need to be soft and very unique.
Here is a mix of names that make me think of your daughter’s name:
