I struggle heavily with having girl name favorites. I am just so picky! Anyway, I love the name Evian pronounced as Evy N. But I don’t want the water bottle Association. Can you think of any extremely similar sounding names I could crush on instead?

I’ve tried different spellings but I think the association is just too strong. I’d like a close sounding second.

I’ve never heard of the water bottle association in my life, so I’d say you’re fine on that front! [name_u]Evian[/name_u] is no [name_u]Dasani[/name_u] or Hydroflask, even, in my mind. I generally prefer [name_u]Evan[/name_u] (for any gender), but [name_u]Evian[/name_u] is kicky and cool!

[name_u]Evian[/name_u] is fairly well known, and of course the joke that it is Naive backwards. I say it’s a no go. Maybe Evianne or something could work.

I definitely think the water association is too strong, and I also think about the character in the movie Superstar. In the movie they even say something like “your parents named you after water?”

When I saw this topic’s title, I immediately said “Evian, why don’t you go drink a bottle of yourself!”.

But I am a very big [name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_u]Shannon[/name_u] fan. I think most people will think of the water but I’d imagine they’d move on quickly. I just personally strongly associate it with Superstar.

I’m not sure about other places but [name_u]Evian[/name_u] the brand is very well-known in Europe. So I wouldn’t do it, personally.

How about Vivien/Vivienne, [name_f]Evanna[/name_f], Evandra or [name_f]Evadne[/name_f]?

I really like the -ian ending sound for girls. That’s a good place to look.

I do like [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] but feels a little old for a first name for me. I like classic middles but different first names.
