Evie or Edie?

What are people’s preferences?
[name_f]Edie[/name_f] versus [name_f]Evie[/name_f]?
Can people also give “full name” options, I love these as they are but they do feel a bit like nicknames, I can’t find anything I like; I know of [name_u]Eden[/name_u] or [name_f]Edith[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] or [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] but not sold on these.

I prefer [name_f]Evie[/name_f], by a mile.

I definitely prefer [name_f]Evie[/name_f]! I think it’s such a sweet nickname and it’s on my list for sure.
My favorite full length names are [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Evanna[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]/[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] although that last one might be a little bit of a stretch for some.
You could also get [name_f]Evie[/name_f] from [name_u]Everly[/name_u]/[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] I suppose. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helped a little!

I prefer [name_f]Edie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is a beautiful name but there’s been so many [name_f]Evie[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]'s lately that it’s lost a little bit of its charm for me. [name_f]Edie[/name_f] is so sweet but I understand wanting a longer name, especially for when she’s older.

[name_f]Edelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Editta[/name_f]
Edelia

I adore [name_f]Edie[/name_f], love [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Evvie[/name_f] (EV-ee) over [name_f]Evie[/name_f], but only as a nickname.

I would use [name_f]Edie[/name_f] as a stand alone. I have [name_f]Edie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] on my short list.

I love [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], although nickname [name_f]Evvie[/name_f], but it would be my favorite full name for [name_f]Evie[/name_f].

Honestly I think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] could easily stand on it’s own. They can always go by [name_f]Eve[/name_f].

[name_f]Evie[/name_f]. [name_f]Edie[/name_f] is ice cream to me, and reminds me of one of my least favorite names, [name_f]Edith[/name_f]. I do like [name_u]Eden[/name_u], though.

[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Evadne[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (my favorite!)
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_f]Evita[/name_f]

I prefer [name_f]Evie[/name_f], though it is feeling a little overdone here in the UK.

My favourite formal name for it is plain old [name_f]Eve[/name_f], but I also love [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Evelina[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Evadne[/name_f], [name_f]Evanthe[/name_f], [name_f]Elisheva[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]…

It could also work for [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]/[name_f]Neve[/name_f], [name_f]Caoimhe[/name_f]/[name_u]Keeva[/name_u], [name_f]Geneva[/name_f], [name_f]Neva[/name_f], [name_f]Riva[/name_f], [name_f]Ziva[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_u]Ever[/name_u]/[name_u]Everly[/name_u], [name_f]Evening[/name_f], Evra, [name_u]Evan[/name_u], [name_f]Evgenia[/name_f], [name_f]Evette[/name_f] or [name_f]Evonne[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. I am with you in wanting a longer more formal name, so here are some suggestions:

“[name_f]Evie[/name_f]”
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Every[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
Evanka
[name_f]Evanna[/name_f]

“[name_f]Edie[/name_f]”
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_f]Enid[/name_f]
Edessa
[name_f]Edwina[/name_f]
[name_f]Edina[/name_f]

I like both but I lightly prefer [name_f]Evie[/name_f] over [name_f]Edie[/name_f] (but that’s because I love it as a nn for [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]). I’ve seen [name_f]Evie[/name_f] used as a nn for [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and some other considerations would be Evolet, [name_f]Evanthe[/name_f], [name_f]Evadne[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Ever[/name_u], [name_u]Everly[/name_u]/[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f], [name_f]Evening[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], and [name_f]Eva[/name_f].

For [name_f]Edie[/name_f] there is my personal favourite Edilean but there is also [name_f]Edna[/name_f], [name_f]Edanna[/name_f], Edelina, Edianthe, Edelweiss, and Edalia.
