Evie Snow, too much?

Sorry to be posting for the millionth time. I’m not even 6 weeks pg, I’m sure by the time I have this baby y’all will be throwing things at me in frustration. Since my top 4 aren’t thrilling me, I’m trying to think a little further outside the box. So, my due date is [name]Christmas[/name] [name]Eve[/name]. What do you think of [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] LastnametwosyllablesstartswithR? Other choices would be [name]Evie[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Evie[/name] [name]Mae[/name]. My two daughters are [name]Ruby[/name] & [name]Lucy[/name]. I know that [name]Evie[/name] is a little nicknamey in comparison but [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Lucy[/name], and [name]Evie[/name] seems pretty cute. Is [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] TOO Christmasy? I was suprised to see that [name]Evie[/name] is super popular in the UK (top 10 territory) and it’s only been back in the top 1000 in the US since 2007. I have considered [name]Eve[/name], but I want 2-syllables, it’s a family tradition on my mom’s side. I have also considered [name]Eva[/name], but my daughter [name]Ruby[/name] was named after my Grandma and her sister’s name is [name]Eva[/name], so it starts to seem a little weird. So, it would be [name]Evie[/name] not [name]Eve[/name] or [name]Eva[/name]. I think [name]Evie[/name] could work pretty easily on a grown-woman, so I’m not worried about it being nicknamey.

It’s definitely theme-y for a Christmastime baby, but I see the appeal. I would go with [name]Evie[/name] [name]Rose[/name] over [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] personally, but if [name]Snow[/name] is the middle name you like then it works fine.

[name]Eva[/name] [name]Snow[/name] would be less overly cutesy in my opinion, but if it’s out of the running than [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is a good second option.

I agree with this 100%.

I agree about [name]Eva[/name] [name]Snow[/name], but husband prefers [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name], and since we would call her that anyway it seems like the way to go. I don’t understand giving a formal name just for the sake of it and never using it.

I know a grown woman named [name]Evie[/name] and I think it’s beautiful and doesn’t really require a formal name. [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is cute, a bit too themed for me (and too short since I like longer middle names for short first names.) But [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is definitely a nice option.

Would you only use [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] if she was born on [name]Christmas[/name] [name]Eve[/name]?
It’s a cute name, but I’d prefer a formal first name such as [name]Eva[/name] or [name]Eve[/name] (although I realise you don’t mind nickname names).

Before I read your post, I was going to suggest, [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Snow[/name] nn [name]Evie[/name].

However, since you want to stick with a two-syllable name, I would suggest

While I don’t like [name]Evie[/name] as a standalone, I think [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is perfectly fine for a [name]Christmas[/name] baby really. It’s sweet, and the (accidental?) connection between her possible birthday isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The name itself, I wouldn’t use, as it’s too cutesy for my tastes and probably my least favourite [name]Eve[/name]- name, though I like them all. Like most others I do prefer a more adult-suitable / “professional” name in the first name spot, but I don’t think that makes it a bad name, not to mention it does spawn [name]Eve[/name] if she wanted something less sweet for adulthood.

I did think of [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Snow[/name] (EEV-lin rather than EV-ah-lin to get the 2 syllables), especially as it contains a ‘y’ like the other two siblings, but not sure if it works with your taste. I think it does make the [name]Christmas[/name] connection a little less obvious though.

I too think [name]Eva[/name] [name]Snow[/name] nn [name]Evie[/name]! [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is cute but maybe a little TOO cute…I like both names individually but as a combo i prefer [name]Eva[/name] [name]Snow[/name]! I think [name]Lucy[/name], [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Evie[/name] are adorable sisters though! Or what about [name]Ivy[/name] instead if [name]Evie[/name]… its a bit more subtly Christmasy! [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Mae[/name]? Or smooth those two middles and [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Rae[/name] is cute  What are [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name]'s middles just to get an idea?

I think [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is beautiful! I see nothing wrong with nicknames as given names, but maybe thats because i’m in the Uk and its a very Britsh thing. I second the suggestion of [name]Ivy[/name] as well. [name]Gracie[/name] would also be lovely for a [name]Christmas[/name] baby with sisters [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name].

[name]Evie[/name] is nice. I do think the mn [name]Snow[/name] makes it a bit too cutesy? [name]Evie[/name] [name]Mae[/name] sounds very country bumpkin to me. I really like [name]Evie[/name] [name]Rose[/name] the best of the three middle options.

Also, I agree with others who suggested [name]Ivy[/name]. [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Lucy[/name], and [name]Ivy[/name] are great together.

I had a character named [name]Evie[/name] [name]Snow[/name]…and yes, it was a [name]Christmas[/name] story.
