We are expecting baby #2! Our first son is [name]Peter[/name]. We love classic traditional names, but we are open to unusual names as well. We do not know yet if #2 is a girl or a boy, so we need help building a list for both! Here are some favorites so far. Please let me know your thoughts, and give other suggestions! Thank you!! Our last name is one syllable and the middle name will be [name]Louise[/name] (family name).
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Louise[/name] (I think I like [name]Hannah[/name] better, but I go back and forth!)
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Ruth[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
I like Ruth or Georgia best, and after that Hannah. Anna isn’t for me.

You’ve gotten some great suggestions to add to a good looking list! [name]Ruth[/name] is one of my all-time faves, but with a 1 syllable last name, something a little longer would be nice. I love the suggestions of [name]Johanna[/name], [name]Ramona[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], and [name]Harriet[/name]. Since you like [name]Georgia[/name], what about [name]Georgina[/name]? It’s a little more unusual, but still classic, and I think it flows so nicely with [name]Louise[/name], giving you a 3-2-1 syllable count. Here are a few more suggestions:
(blank) [name]Louise[/name] (one-syllable)? It would be interesting to note what the last initial of the surname is since you don’t want initials that spelling anything like ALE or ILL.
I’d go with a three syllable name or more. It’s more melodic if you have differing syllable counts for each part of the name. 3-2-1 or 4-2-1 sounds better than 2-2-1 or 1-2-1. There’s a three syllable names list on this site to help you. Since your taste run more of the classical, I’d look to lesser used ones like [name]Virginia[/name] or [name]Susannah[/name] over say [name]Sophia[/name] to save her a lifetime of classrooms saying she’s [name]Sophia[/name] S. and not [name]Sophia[/name] J.
I love [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Louise[/name]! It is so charming! I also think the suggestion of [name]Jane[/name] is perfect with [name]Peter[/name]! Good luck!
