We’ve just found out we’re expecting [name_u]Baby[/name_u] #3 due in [name_u]July[/name_u] 2020! We already have a girl and a boy and we won’t be finding out gender this time around. I’m already starting to think names because of course! Here’s my current shortlist…

I think [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] sounds the best with [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f].

I love these names! My favourites for you though are [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]. Any one of these is fantastic with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m].

I think that with his siblings names, [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is fantastic! I really like the potential of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] as combo, too, if middles aren’t already set.

I noticed reading through your list that [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] borrows a similar sound from each of your children’s names (the first syllable from [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and the second syllable from [name_f]Violet[/name_f]). I find that a small amount of overlapping sounds and letters tends to provide a sense of cohesiveness. As a sibling set, [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] sound very cosy. I do wonder however, if this similarity may slightly impact your name choices for fourth child if you have plans.

[name_m]Louis[/name_m] also shares that first syllable vowel sound with [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. But they don’t feel as close as the prior sibling set.

I think all your ideas are amazing!! My least favorite would be [name_m]Fredrick[/name_m], but all in all, it looks like you can’t go wrong!! Congrats :slight_smile:

[name_m]Albert[/name_m] does nothing for me, but [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Louis[/name_m], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m] are all wonderful. Here are my thoughts in case #3 is a little boy…

[name_m]Albert[/name_m] “[name_u]Bertie[/name_u]”-I love [name_m]Albert[/name_m]! It was my grandpa’s name, so I may be a bit biased. It’s strong yet kind sounding. It’s unique yet very recognizable. At least it’s unique in the U.S. If you’re in the U.K., I heard it’s more popular there. Anyway, awesome name & fits well w/[name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m].

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]-This is quite nice. Not sure why, but I personally prefer [name_m]Frederic[/name_m]. It just looks sleeker. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_m]Fred[/name_m] or [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]? They may be somewhat unavoidable.

[name_m]George[/name_m]-This is a good solid name. It doesn’t sparkle, but it’s fine.

[name_m]Louis[/name_m]-I like this, & I think it fits. Is it too rhyme-y though…[name_m]Huey[/name_m] & [name_m]Louie[/name_m]?

[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]-This is okay. Maybe a little stuffy sounding, but not bad.

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]-I love this. Very handsome & a little artsy. Lots of great nn options too. I like Bash & [name_m]Satch[/name_m]!

[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]-This is a great name. Strong, smart, classic, charming & a little bit quirky. It’s getting kind of common. Another name w/great nn options. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] seems adorable w/[name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], but I kind of like [name_m]Thatch[/name_m] & Thax too if you wanted something a little more unique.

[name_m]Albert[/name_m] is my favorite, but [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] & [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] follow closely behind.

I think all your possibilities would fit nicely with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] as they’re all timelessly elegant. I personally would avoid [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] due to them being more popular and would probably say my favourite combo would be [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] & [name_m]Sebastien[/name_m]!
