[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] - perfection!
I voted for [name]Jane[/name] [name]Calypso[/name]. I adore [name]Jane[/name], especially paired with a more out-there, striking mn to spice it up. It’s perfect, imo! I think the nn [name]Janey[/name] is so cute, too.
I actually prefer [name]Alice[/name] to [name]Jane[/name] most days, but I just don’t love [name]Alice[/name] [name]Moira[/name]. I think it looks okay, but the flow is a little off and [name]Moira[/name] is a bit too strong for [name]Alice[/name], imo. Would you consider something like [name]Alice[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]? I think that’s a sweet balance of uncommon and unpredictable but still soft enough to work with the short, sweet, and soft [name]Alice[/name].
Good luck!
I second this
Thanks to all who responded. It looks as though [name]Jane[/name] [name]Calypso[/name] won the poll.
These are all really nice, I must say. Good work!
However, if your last name is one syllable, you should strongly consider going with a first name that is two or more syllables. That would eliminate [name]Jane[/name].
Also, consider the “[name]Catherine[/name]” instead of [name]Katherine[/name]. It’s more classic and coming back into fashion because of the Duchess of Cambridge.
[name]Catherine[/name]/[name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Alice[/name]… both beautiful with a one syllable last name. I’d pair [name]Jane[/name] with a longer last name.
I love the name [name]Alice[/name], but I voted for [name]Jane[/name] [name]Calypso[/name] because it is just. so. epic!
I adore all these names! [name]Jane[/name] [name]Calypso[/name] is wonderful and would have gotten my vote except I agree with a one syllable last name a longer first name may be better. That said, you can call her [name]Janie[/name] perhaps which stretches it out, or, I mean, maybe it just works with your last name. Only you can judge. 1-1 names are kind of a thing in my family and in my experience they generally work and are punchy. But I know it can be a challenge in some cases.
Another classic that’s a little longer that I think could be cool would be [name]Julia[/name] [name]Calypso[/name].
I voted [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] ultimately for the length thing. It’s a great combo!
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Moira[/name]: I like both names a lot, just agree the flow is weird with the two together.
All best!
Thanks all. I had the same reservations about a one syllable first name paired with our last name. However, when I say it out loud ([name]Jane[/name] [name]Linn[/name]) it doesn’t feel lacking. Lol…maybe I’m just in denial!
I think [name]Jane[/name] [name]Linn[/name] sounds really good together, actually.
I voted for [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Augusta[/name]. So regal and dignified.
Hearing the exact last name…I now mildly prefer [name]Jane[/name] the best : D.
