I spoke to my parents last night about wanting to change my name. They are not very happy about it and said they probably wouldn’t be able to get used to calling me another name. For that reason I have chosen to keep [name_f]Laura[/name_f] in my name but the position of the name is undecided.
I would love to use the name [name_f]Evie[/name_f] in my name somewhere. I would also like another name apart from [name_f]Laura[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] as a middle.
I am looking for a name that follows this criteria…
Does not begin E.
Does not begin with L.
Does not end in the A sound for example [name_f]Laura[/name_f].
Does not end in the E sound for example [name_f]Evie[/name_f].
I would prefer the name was two syllables but I am open to other names that are less or more syllables.
Another thing is I would like to honour my mother in my name. Her name is [name_f]Karen[/name_f]. She doesn’t have a middle name. Also my Mum doesn’t like her name so not sure if I should use Karen or a variant.
I’m probably not understanding the criteria right but if I was changing my name from [name_f]Laura[/name_f] and wanted to keep it similar I would choose something like
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f] or [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], both beautiful names.
For the [name_f]Eve[/name_f] part I’m not so sure, unless you’d want two middles or a hyphenated first: [name_f]Laurel[/name_f]-[name_f]Eve[/name_f]/ Laureleve? [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] Second Middle?
I love the name [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] to honor a [name_f]Karen[/name_f] but it ends in A so might be out I guess. Such a beautiful sound and meaning though.
[name_f]Karen[/name_f] is a variation of [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] so you could go for that or another variation. [name_f]Katya[/name_f], [name_f]Cathleen[/name_f], [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], [name_f]Katrin[/name_f], [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Kitty[/name_f], [name_f]Caterina[/name_f]. Or you could keep the [name_u]Ren[/name_u] sound and call yourself [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. [name_f]Renee[/name_f] maybe? Though that seems more like a sister to [name_f]Karen[/name_f] than a daughter, it would age you some. [name_f]Rena[/name_f]? [name_f]Karina[/name_f]/[name_f]Carina[/name_f]?
[name_f]Karen[/name_f] means pure, just like [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], [name_f]Candace[/name_f] and [name_u]Wynn[/name_u].
Finally [name_f]Karen[/name_f]'s sound also reminds me of [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_u]Ari[/name_u], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], [name_f]Helen[/name_f], [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f], [name_u]Linden[/name_u], [name_f]Maren[/name_f], [name_f]Maven[/name_f], [name_u]Seren[/name_u], [name_u]Arden[/name_u].
