One word name that I have been thinking about is Amulet. I think it is so cool and could work for either a boy or a girl (though I think I prefer it as a girls name).

I guess it’s strange but I’ve kinda always liked Maiden ? Think it’s pretty and a cross between [name_f]Megan[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] I suppose?

Another one I just remembered: I read a book called “[name_u]Echo[/name_u]’s [name_f]Sister[/name_f]” (really good book, I recommend it). The main character’s name is Laughter, but goes by [name_f]Elle[/name_f], like the sound the letter L makes. I thought it was interesting and unique.

Yes! I have synesthesia, so sometimes random words “feel” like names to me.

Listen
Crevasse
Meridian
Maiden
Levity (I actually named a character this)
Trumpet
Sovereign
Soviet (This would be awful though)
Current
Floral
Aerie
Ledger
Pastel
Constellation

There are many others, but these are all that come to mind at the moment.

I realize this is an old topic, but I just had an inspiration that I thought belonged on here

[name_f]Eloquent[/name_f].

It has the favoured [name_f]El[/name_f]- beginning and the fun q- sound, plus quite a great meaning actually!

I think Cardigan, Orzo, Millennia, Quinoa, Luminous, Gleam, Pageturner (!), Rival, Reagent, Median, Cardamom , Soliloquy, Regency, Levity, Amulet and [name_f]Ethereal[/name_f] are totally brilliant. We just need the right celebrities to come across this topic, and we might see some of these in real life

I love Chandolier.

Also, many words in other languages!

For example:
Elskede (Norse, it means [name_f]Beloved[/name_f], and I adore it)
Falda (Spanish, it means Skirt, so maybe not the best choice)
Norrsken (Norse, it means Northern Lights)
Storeen/Storin (Irish, meaning [name_m]Little[/name_m] [name_f]Treasure[/name_f] or Beloved)

Among others :).

Sometimes I wonder if [name_f]Faithful[/name_f], Faithfulness, [name_u]Loyal[/name_u], or Hopeful would work.

Revelry
[name_f]Alchemy[/name_f]

Pageturner is perfection, just unfortunately in an alternate universe!!!

Also, Cardamom, [name_f]Ethereal[/name_f], and Luminous have me swooning!!

If you’re on tiktok there is a couple on there in which the husband has taste synesthesia for names - and the tastes are so random, and the wife is an artist who sees colors and patterns when she hears music. Thought you may be interested in someone who shares your trait.
-ive wondered if synesthesia people think it’s strange that rest of us CAN’T taste words.

I have thought about this a few times. Interesting how some words make it as names and others don’t.

Some I think could work
Skate/Skater
Vagabond
Dance/Dancer
Time
