Fabian

I’ve known of Fabian for years but only recently started to really like it.

What do you think of Fabian? Any associations?

fabian and ingrid go perfect together! personally not a fan of the name bc it’s dated where i live (just like oscar) but i believe people are staring to use it again!

plus i really like that fabian & ingrid have kinda the same ammount of popularity

[name_u]Love[/name_u] love love [name_m]Fabian[/name_m]! It’s on my own middle names list but unfortunately my husband has a negative personal association with it

I think it’s strong and sensitive and sophisticated sounding, and it travels well internationally – exactly the same qualities I love about [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]. They’re wonderful together.

I’m not sure if Fabian is the name yet but I like the soft and intelligent sound of it and the connection to the Fabian society…
It would be very sweet to call my son “Fabulous Fabian”

I’m biased because I’m a huge -ian name fan, but [name_m]Fabian[/name_m] is so fun and spunky. It has a lovely, international sounding like [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f].

I love [name_m]Fabian[/name_m]! Used to know a really lovely guy called this too. How do you pronounce it, as I’ve heard it said with both long and short “a”?

@LouC Nice to hear that you love it. I pronounce it with a short a. When I pronounce it Finnishly it’s “Fuh-be-ahn”, Englishly it’s a bit more like Fah-be-an. Not a huge difference though.
