I’m not at all sure about [name_f]Virtue[/name_f], [name_u]Fable[/name_u], or [name_f]Clarity[/name_f] as ‘real person’ names. I certainly think you could, but I’m not sure if you should.
(Although, heaven knows, they’d certainly be better than some of these crazy trendy names I’ve heard lately. At least these don’t make me cringe inside!)
Personally, I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] the old Puritan names. I think they are often overlooked, unusual, interesting, but still viable names.
[name_f]Verity[/name_f] is actually at the top of my list for my baking girl.
My Guilty Pleasure names are Memory and [name_f]Remember[/name_f] - both old Puritan names.
Out of the Puritan virtue names, I only like [name_f]Verity[/name_f]. [name_f]Virtue[/name_f] is too much a word name, and [name_f]Clarity[/name_f] doesn’t strike me like [name_f]Verity[/name_f] does.
[name_u]Fable[/name_u] is nice enough- I prefer it more in the middle spot.
Yeah I was trying to think of random underused ones, honestly when I was younger I still didnt understand why people would be called faith. Thats why I was curious about people who enjoy them
& Memory is cute, I love that these could have meaning to us but what would you think meeting one on the street?
[name_f]Verity[/name_f] is pretty, and the only one I would use of the list.
I also love [name_f]Amity[/name_f], [name_f]Constance[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Clarity[/name_f] is a modern virtue name. To me it’s a modern name not puritan name. With the nickname [name_f]Claire[/name_f], I think it’s usable.
I also think [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is usable. This one I do think is puritan chic. I think it’s gorgeous. The one problem is that [name_f]Clarity[/name_f] and [name_f]Verity[/name_f] are too matchy for first names for sisters.
I am not in love with [name_f]Virtue[/name_f] as a first name. I have never heard it before and it seems out there.
[name_u]Fable[/name_u] is cute, but I would prefer it as a middle name.
I also really love [name_f]Remember[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Temperance[/name_f], and [name_f]Prudence[/name_f]. Also Solace and [name_u]Vesper[/name_u].
[name_f]Solstice[/name_f] is neat meaning standstill of the sun… I feel like at the pace of trend were going baby names will be either sentences or noises a couple decades down the line.
I personally love those old fashioned puritan names. I especially like [name_f]Verity[/name_f] and [name_f]Clarity[/name_f] - two of my personal favorites as of late. And I really think they could work on a child in this day and age. Not too sure about [name_f]Virtue[/name_f] - it certainly is interesting, though.
Now, [name_u]Fable[/name_u] - I’ve never heard that before. And it has oddly enough captured my attention. Maybe not the most realistic, but a really cool idea for a name.
[name_u]Fable[/name_u] caught my attention but I feel like its fictionary background would deem the name negatively as being untruthful or playful as in imaginative. . What would you consider it’s traits?
I adore [name_f]Verity[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] love it, sound and meaning.
I also love [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Amity[/name_f], and [name_f]Liberty[/name_f].
Less fond of [name_f]Clarity[/name_f], prefer [name_u]Clare[/name_u] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f] which feel more classic and tailored.
I don’t like [name_u]Fable[/name_u]. I like other names with a similar sound: [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Maple[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], but not [name_u]Fable[/name_u]. I don’t like [name_f]Fay[/name_f] either, which probably doesn’t help.
I love [name_f]Verity[/name_f] and enjoy [name_f]Clarity[/name_f]. [name_f]Verity[/name_f]'s charming and splendid, and even more accessible because of the book Code Name [name_f]Verity[/name_f]. [name_f]Clarity[/name_f]'s made better (in my eyes) because of the nickname [name_u]Clare[/name_u]. Not a fan of [name_f]Virtue[/name_f] or [name_u]Fable[/name_u]; I feel like [name_f]Virtue[/name_f]'s too much to carry and [name_u]Fable[/name_u] to me implies made-up, not real.
Yesterday I met sisters named [name_f]Clarity[/name_f], [name_f]Serenity[/name_f], [name_f]Generosity[/name_f] and Courage—I think [name_f]Generosity[/name_f] goes a bit far, despite the nickname [name_f]Genny[/name_f], and Courage seems more masculine.
Other virtue names I like include [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Mercy[/name_f], [name_f]Honor[/name_f], [name_f]Patience[/name_f], [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Blithe[/name_f], [name_f]Clemency[/name_f], and [name_f]Prudence[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_u]Harmony[/name_u] can be a virtue as well as musical. [name_f]Honesty[/name_f] is a guilty-pleasure love, but not terribly wearable. [name_f]Amity[/name_f]'s growing on me.
I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u]! I think it’s totally usable. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] and [name_f]Clarity[/name_f] too. I would love to meet a [name_u]Fable[/name_u], [name_f]Verity[/name_f], or [name_f]Clarity[/name_f]. Out of the three I think [name_f]Clarity[/name_f] is the most unusable, but I still think it’s usable.
i personally think they’re all very usable and divine, and i particularly adore fable. not as much of a fan of virtue as clarity and verity, just doesn’t sound as pretty as those, but the meaning is just as lovely.
but then, i obviously like virtue names. i have an 18-month old named [name_f]Remember[/name_f]. ( :
