I’m starting a new story that is similar to a fairy tale (it is NOT one) so I need some fairy tale-like names.
GIRL 1: a witch. She’s not as evil as everybody thinks she is, she’s just a prankster that wants to have fun (she’s a teen, come on!). [name_f]Kinda[/name_f] arrogant and gets angry easily. Sometimes, from nowhere, she will cast a spell and change her clothes to Zatanna Zatara’s clothes (but less pin-up). I was going to name her [name_f]Snow[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u], I love the sound of it and the meaning, but let’s face it: it doesn’t match the character… at all.

Okay… Now I have two new lists for the boy. The first list has “normal” names that I think that match the character (sound) and the second one has names full of meaning. I want to combine names from the two lists, though I don’t care if a “list 1” name will be a mn or a given name.

For Girl 1, I was thinking about using [name_f]Fae[/name_f] or [name_f]Fairy[/name_f] as the MN, but I must say I’m (almost) picking [name_f]Lumi[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u]. Not only the sound of the combo is great, but the meaning is also tricky (as the character): [name_f]Lumi[/name_f] looks like “luminous” or “luz” (light), however it means “snow”. And [name_u]Fable[/name_u] reminds me of fairies (it also sounds like [name_f]Fae[/name_f]). So, I’m almost settled on [name_f]Lumi[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u].
But [name_f]Thera[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] and [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] [name_f]Jinx[/name_f] are still competing. 
Yesterday, I was determined to name the twins [name_f]Stormy[/name_f] [name_f]Jinx[/name_f] and [name_m]Night[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]. Three hours later, I gave up this idea. I think (key word) I’m going to drop [name_f]Jinx[/name_f] and about [name_m]Night[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u], @vestigesofsummer is right. The image of [name_m]Night[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is perfect, exactly what I’m looking for, but the flow is… meh.
I’m inclined to choose [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] as the given name for the boy. Pretty name, easy to pronounce and full of mystery.

Girl 2 is the one I’m having the greatest difficulty deciding on the name. I believe she’s going to be [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] (I’m such an indecisive person 
). This is because, the magical necklace has a red gem in it, my name options are basically: [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Garnet[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f], [name_f]Vermillion[/name_f], [name_f]Crimson[/name_f], [name_f]Coral[/name_f], [name_u]Carmine[/name_u] and maybe Cardinal as a MN.
As for the other name, I’m thinking of something that mean protector/ protection, but that it’s easy to pronounce: [name_u]Billie[/name_u], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Clarimond[/name_f], [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] or [name_f]Mona[/name_f].
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]: I like it. That’s something I would call this character.

I’m a boring and indecisive girl, I know. I just want my characters to have the perfect names.
Cardinal could be a really interesting way to go as a first name for Girl 2, I think. It has the color reference you like, but a subtle one, and it also evokes a lot of images of power and prestige because of the position in the Catholic church. The context of your story can remove the religious aspect easily, but the umph of it is still there. It would definitely give her a more intuitive importance, if that makes sense? I also like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] a lot. Definitely subtle and strong.
I think that using [name_u]Gray[/name_u] as the middle name for the boy is almost too easy, and that might be why you’re struggling with it. Maybe try to steer away from the visual and think about connotation and meaning more? Names that don’t evoke images, but feelings. [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is on the right track, same with [name_m]Alasdair[/name_m] ([name_m]Alastair[/name_m] is another spelling, rolls off the tongue a bit easier for me at least). Also consider his sister’s name and what that sibset would look like.
