Forgetting that we have a three day weekendâŚwho would do that?! Definitely not I[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] I nearly took [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_m]Alcott[/name_m] to school this morning, thinking today was their final dayâŚnope, thatâs tomorrow! Silly me.
As usual, [name_f]Clemma[/name_f], [name_f]June[/name_f], and I were at home today, but we were joined by [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_m]Alcott[/name_m], and DH who all had the day off from school and work! We had a nice and slow morning and a picnic for lunch. After nap-time we took a trip to the bookstore and then sat outside at a cafe and had snacks and some family time listening to the birds. It was a bit chilly today, so we couldnât do the usual memorial day activities, but I think it was fun for us all nonetheless. I hope you all enjoyed the free day, and if you donât celebrate, that you had a nice start to the week.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Birdie[/name_f] and [name_m]Clem[/name_m], giggly and sweet like always. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] had strawberry juice dripping down her arms by the end of lunch and Juneâs face was covered.

[name_f][/name_f]Part of the picnic loot! We got so many strawberries at the farmerâs market this weekend, so I knew I had to do something with them. [name_f]Strawberry[/name_f] cake it was! [name_f]Perfect[/name_f] for the holiday.

[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Alcott[/name_m] and [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] snuggled on the couch at the end of the day, reading a book that we found in a âtake one leave one libraryâ yesterday. [name_m]Alcott[/name_m] insisted she wasnât ready to read her new books from the bookstore, because they were âtoo fresh and need house air!â So our nightly story was picked from the ever-growing and always overflowing stack in their room.
