thank you!
Congrats love his name!
@Larryisalittledog yay iām sos glad sheās okay!
congrats, @almondmilk! Heās adorable!
Just popping in to say that the triplets should be coming any day now. DH and I are pretty sure weāve decided on the names, and all your suggestions were really helpful, so thanks!
Ooo!! How exciting!! Make sure to get lots of rest!!
How exciting! Itās always such a nerve-wracking time when the babies are just about to come! Itās so hard to be anything but nervous and excited, but I always love to take a step back and just soak up the last bits of the pregnancy!
Okay⦠wow. Your children are absolutely angelic. I think my little cavewomen can stand to learn so much from their poise and patience. Iām seriously just so taken with your kidsā sweetness and truly gorgeous manners. Lol! Watching your Theodore and Caspian run around with Clementine was so beautiful. They clicked so quicklyāholy mackerel, I was stunned. Clem knows a lot of little kiddos (namely, siblings of Visionās friends, cousins, etc.) but none that are as close in age to her as your two. And wow is it an amazing match to watch them play. I took Clemās puffer jacket out of the wash yesterday to find all these crumpled, yellow pieces of I-couldnāt-tell-what in the pockets, and when I asked Clem if she knew what they were, she said, āOh, my flowers, Mama!ā So I asked her where she found those, to which she looked me dead in the eyes and said, āMama, from my friends. You remember my friends?ā I asked, āYour cousins?ā And Clem said, āNoooo. The boys at the park. Tiodow and Cassin.ā Those are as close to how she says their names as I can write. āTEE-uh-dohā and āCASS-inn.ā
A trio for life may be blossoming. They are soooo sweet together. And sooo sweet with little Birdy. I could tell that littlest babe felt so so excited to be included! Thank you for sharing your beautiful kiddos with us that day.
Thatās the most poetic, lovely way of putting it Iāve ever heard. Oh, my heart. Wow! Her wild spirit is absolutely one of my favorite things about Vis. Matildaās heart is just so gentle and lovely, and watching her and Vision start to understand and grow interested in each other as the day went was so cool. Vizzy Boo and Millie Moo might be my new favorite dynamic duo!
I think my favorite birthday present I got all day was watching Vis and Millie play ācharactersā on the playground. Vision and her self-made Avengers poses, jumping like a hooligan, and Millie watching her with the widest eyes ever⦠and then Millie joining in and Vis watching her!? I mean, oh my goodness. They played so sweetly together I nearly burst.
If youāre free tomorrow or Friday, the big girls have a minimum day at school (Thu) and a day off (Fri). Tomorrow night, weāve got plans to watch a movie and make popcorn with M&Ms (the best way to eat it, we think)! You are more than welcome to join, if you can make itāI know the kids would be thrilled to see you and yours.
Anyone whoās free and in the area, SO, myself, and our three invite you drop in for a bit on Friday if youād like to! The girls are having a weekend hot cocoa stand/outside playdate at the park down the street from our house!
Goodness knows that our outgoing butterflies Vision (7) and Florence (10 mo. as of Sat! woohoo!) would be more than ecstatic to meet all of your littlesāand Clem (3) guarantees pouring massive cups of cocoa. We so so hope to you this weekend, friends!
Weāll be there! Itāll be great for Clara and the twins to socialize as we havenāt been going many places because of Maudeās homecoming. We can bring her too so your girls can say hello.
On another note, we got a puppy! I never mentioned it on here but last year, we lost our dog Romy which hit us very hard. Today we welcomed Tadhg. Heās from a rescue so we donāt know what breed he is but despite the chaos, we love him very much.
Oh, thank you so much Hearing that from you with your little angels is amazing! The way Clem says Theodore and Caspian is just the cutest thing ever. Theyāve been practicing your kiddos names, and itās hilarious to hear them say āWIJ-uhnā for Vision, āCwemā for Clem, and āBUH-diā for Birdy
Your kids are absolutely wonderful, and I donāt think mine have ever enjoyed hanging out with others so much! We can definitely make it tomorrow! SO gets off work an hour early, and the kids have been begging to have another playdate with your littles! Iām not sure we would be able to make it again Friday, but we will certainly try.
This past week Iāve finally realized why Iām so eager to have another little one! We got pregnant with Edith just 9 months after having Matilda, and then again just 2 months after having Edith we fell pregnant with the boys, which at one point had us with 4 under 2.5, and then once again we got pregnant with Eleanor (though that was 2 years almost exactly after having the boys). I think my body is gearing up for pregnancy, because by this time after giving birth to my older girls, I was either pregnant or had newborns! I think itās trying to say āItās your time to have another!ā I guess Iām just so used to having another baby to take care of by this point (either inside me or outside me
)
SO mentioned this to me and it was as if a lightbulb had gone off! I swear he knows me more than I know myself!
@almondmilk congrats! he has the most amazing name
Ohh that sounds awesome! I would love to be there. [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] would love to make some new friends, and it sounds like your girls could influence her to be a little more gracious.
Oh my goodness, this is too much for me to handle. So so freaking sweet! Also, Iām obsessed with them calling Florence āBirdyā too. I feel like sheās so both of her names. SO calls her Florence/Flo 90% of the time, and I call her both about 50/50, and the girls call her Birdy 90%. No shocker that your kids have picked up that nn too, and I am swooooning!
Hello! I figured Iād do a quick update as itās been awhile. Iāve seen some new faces around here so hereās a little re-introduction of my family! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband, [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], and I have 3 gorgeous girls and are in the process of adopting a set of 3 siblings from Taiwan! [name_f]My[/name_f] girls are eight year old [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], six year old [name_u]Lowen[/name_u], and five year old [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. The siblings we are adopting are a six year old girl and her little brothers, a four year old and a three year old. Six kids between the ages of 3-8 is going to be something crazy! We are going to give the siblings [name_f]English[/name_f] names in addition to their Chinese names so any suggestions are greatly appreciated! We are trying to stick with four or five letter names. So far, I like Laine/Lane for a girl, and [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] or [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] for a boy. [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] likes [name_f]Willa[/name_f] for a girl and [name_u]James[/name_u] for a boy.
Both the dog & his name are angelic.
Iāve currently got a dog as well, his name is [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] nicknamed [name_u]Pippin[/name_u] (Because Iām a big [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings fan )
I want to adopt a new puppy now! SO loves dogs himself, and if it was up to us, our house would be full. But a house full of kids is better than a house full of those adorable fluffy puppies, thatās what we have to remind ourselves.
tadhg is the most adorable name for the cutest dog!!
Also, hooray, @Larryisalittledog @XxIzzixX @readingreverie ! We are so excited for the park. The girls will be head over heels to meet [name_f]Maude[/name_f], see their friends, and meet many moreāoh my golly.
Also, @XxIzzixX you are the sweetest. Our girls are certainly many wild things, and Iām sure they and your littles will learn so many sweet things as they spend time together.
And, @Larryisalittledog your pup is amazing! Gah, congratulations! A newborn and a puppy⦠I think you might be a superhero. Whew. [name_m]Tadgh[/name_m] is a gorgeous name for that beautiful animal. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (our cat) loves dogs (well, my sisterās dog, anyway, lol!) so maybe once you know his personality, he could come say hey when youāre over with the kids. Plus, if you ever need a sitter⦠I know three little dog lovers whose parents wonāt let them get one and would love to help out. Saving that for the future.
So far Tadhg is a great, friendly dog and he loves all of our kiddos. I could bring him over on Friday if youāre okay with it. Weāre trying to get early socialization and it would be great for him to meet all the kids you have over. Iāll definitely keep your little women in mind if we ever need a sitter for the little guy.
Oh my goodness, of course! Yes, please do!
Vis just asked what Iām up to, so I told her, showed her a picture of Tadhg, and her jaw dropped. āMama, look at him, heās like, the most cutest little creature that God ever made,ā (āsheās so funny, talks about God and Jesus only in terms of creation, and I just love that thatās her thought process right now) she said, twirling her hair and looking like a little golden child. Then, of course, āSorry, Al (Alice). Youāre second now. Youāre pretty good, but thatās a cute puppy.ā
We promptly absolutely cracked up.
Needless to say, very excited to meet the little guy!
Aww heās absolutely adorable! Congrats on the new family member and sorry about the loss of your pup
I wanted to share that we went to the humane society tonight and ended up coming home with two kitties! Our new little girl is a dark grey/black, and is 5-6 years old, and our new little boy is a white kitty who is about 2-3 years! We decided to name them [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] (Lew-iss), and they have already settled in well! Theyāve adapted to life with all of our kids and our other cat [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] is warming up to them quickly!
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] in the shelter right before we took them home:
And [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] hanging out together, taken just about 15 minutes ago:
Oh my goodness, this day was the best. Iād been feeling so anxious (unrelated to the carnival) beforehand, just really down and cloudy⦠but an evening out with the girls, SO, and your family was really so helpfulāand so fun!
Letting Florence crawl around on the grass after Edith and Shepherd was maybe my favorite bit. She loves to be held, much like Clementine always had, and crawling is definitely not her favorite mode of transport. Sheās hilarious. But wow was she speeding around that night after your littles! It was such a joy!
And Vision chatting with our partners, totally ditching you, me, and the littles⦠my goodness. That child is a gorgeous anomaly to me. How cute was it listening to her and the dads just talk about⦠everything? That warmed my heart a ton. Watching my chatty girl get to talk and listen to people who value her words feels like joy and medicine to me, every time.
And of course⦠Clem and Clara. Clementine adores your Clara. Sheās so so excited to see her again this weekend.
I just put Clem to bed not ten minutes ago (as sheās been awake since five this morning, had such a hard time waking up and feeling really stressed⦠our dear girl is definitely showing the signs of anxiety that I did when I was her age, and weāve been spending lots of time recently helping her regulate and relax in the mornings) and anyway, sheās so thrilled. Before she fell asleep playing with my hair, I told her that sheāll be seeing Clara and baby Maudie and crew at her cocoa stand, and Lainey ā¦she got so excited she nearly cried. Iām not kidding in the least. Her eyes got all welled up! She thanked me, told me she loved me, and fell asleep with a massive, happy hearts. She loves your Clara.
Theodore, Caspian (@readingreverie), and Clara this weekend? Oh, sheāll be in heaven. And sheāll be so ready for it, after a few long mornings this week. Iām so so thankful for the blessings of your kiddosā love for mine, and vice versa. Such pure, beautiful love!
