So I did a test today after feeling a little off for the last 2 days and we were planning to drink tonight at a work event but I got called away by a family emergency. I came back 7ish hours later and there was a faint line.
As I am out of money until my pay goes in 3 days away I am wondering what you guys think? Is the time too much time to take this test seriously?
[name_m]How[/name_m] soon can you get slight morning sickness? It was/is more nausea then vomiting.
I wouldn’t trust any test that has been sitting around for 7 hours. Most state you have to read them within 5-10 minutes or it doesn’t count. I would get another test. When I got my positives, it was really obvious and they happened within the 1 minute wait. My first sign was actually abdominal pain and very sore boobs. I didn’t get nausea till week 7.
Did you check the test and not see anything after five minutes? If so, it was negative (not to say you couldn’t still be pregnant and get a negative). After 7 hours the results are invalid. I’ll echo what the other poster said, do you have a dollar store nearby? The tests at drug stores are ridiculously overpriced, dollar tests work great.
Thank You!
We don’t have a dollar store in Australia (unfortunately, they seem great) so I am just going to re-test in a few days. I refrained from drinking to be on the safe side.
In my experience blue dye tests are far more likely to show evap lines. I took a blue dye test once and had what looked like a positive test hours later, but I was not pregnant. I only buy pink dye tests now, they are much easier to read. I would not trust the results of a test 7 hours old.
Thank You!
I went to the doctor for blood tests. Have an appointment [name_f]Monday[/name_f].
I have been TTC since [name_f]May[/name_f]-ish so here is hoping.
