I have genealogy stuff dating back to the 1600s when my family was still living in England and Scotland. These are all from my grandmothers side as the only names I know from my grandfathers side are his parents, William Henry and Lily Ottilie.
The names at the beginning on the list start at about 1650s and end in the 1990s (some repeat A LOT [like William] so I’m listing them once and not bothering to count them. I’ll only repeat if they’re listed with a middle name)
There are some really interesting, gender bending, and foreign names on here! I hope you stick with it even though it long because I’m so proud of my family for their naming skills.

[name]Hi[/name] Dantea, you have some really unusual names in your family tree. Here are the ones that stood out for me: Ortho, [name]Garland[/name] [name]Homer[/name], [name]Zion[/name] Valdona, Cutliff, Blodgett, Rittenhouse, [name]Council[/name], Goulder, Leason, Lydian, [name]Upton[/name] and Fordney [name]Hughes[/name]. Too bad you can’t find out more about your grandfather’s side of the family. Thanks for sharing!
I think I’m going to ask him if he has any family records like my grand mother has. All of his family immigrated from Germany I think, as my great-grandmother [name]Lily[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] came straight from Germany.
I know I’ve got quite a lot of Native American blood too, so I’m hoping to be able to find some records there.
Genealogy is so much fun. I love these from your family names:
[name]Jonah[/name] [name]Lionel[/name]
[name]Clifford[/name] [name]Miles[/name]

[name]Michael[/name] [name]Claud[/name]

On Pleasie… My grandfather had a grand-aunt who was [name]Pearl[/name] nn Pleasie. He also had a grand-uncle named Plez [name]Dewey[/name]. I think it’s just one of those quirky old-fashioned nicknames.
