I’m trying to come up with a list of names which in some way honour family members (mainly grandparents and great grandparents). However, I’m looking for a fresh, rarer take on them.
For example, my grandma is [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], but I love [name_f]Lillia[/name_f] - is this too confusing though in a world with lots of [name_f]Lily[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]'s?
Another name I love is my nan’s name, [name_f]Deidre[/name_f], but I could never name my child directly after a family member, so I thought [name_f]Deidra[/name_f] could work, but I’m not sure how [name_f]Deidra[/name_f] would work on a young and teenage girl.
Are then any other rare variations of these two, and the following names, that I should consider?
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is a diminutive of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], originally, [name_f]Lilibeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] or [name_f]Ilsa[/name_f] or [name_f]Liesel[/name_f] are options. Personally, I feel there are too many lili-ish names out there right now.
[name_f]Deidre[/name_f] - doesn’t have many variants but you could cheat and use [name_f]Adira[/name_f] or [name_f]Audra[/name_f]
