[name]How[/name] long do you think you have to wait to use a famous name? I love grace, but our last name is [name]Kelley[/name]. So I’m worried about people thinking we named our daughter after a famous princess/actress.
It all depends on the celebrity.
[name]Lindsay[/name] is a very popular name but i don’t think the [name]Lindsay[/name] Lohan namesake will ever die away.
Same thing with [name]Marilyn[/name] [name]Monroe[/name], but this namesake would be much better than [name]Lindsay[/name] Lohan’s.
If it’s a much less prominent actress (ex: Evana [name]Lynch[/name] from [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]. She’s [name]Luna[/name] Lovegood) would be fine.
[name]Do[/name] what you want.
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Kelley[/name] is very obviously, but she was a positive person so it really doesn’t matter imo. If it bothers you, perhaps something like [name]Graciana[/name], [name]Hanna[/name], [name]Graziella[/name], etc. All meaning [name]Grace[/name] and you can use the nickname of [name]Grace[/name].
The [name]Grace[/name] [name]Kelly[/name] reference wont die anytime soon. [name]Grace[/name] was an icon and will remain so for many years to come.
She’s quite well-known and will probably be so for a long time. Could you put [name]Grace[/name] in the middle name spot? [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Kelley[/name] (for example) is beautiful but not as obvious.
Thanks ladies! My husband is convinced that most people don’t even know who she is, and it was weird that my mind immediately jumped to her. I’ll see what he thinks of the grace alternatives and middle names.
I think most people with even a passing familiarity to, you know, movies and stuff, know about [name]Grace[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]. That said, I don’t think it should stop you using [name]Grace[/name] if you love it.
