I adore [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] but all your children have short, edgy names and [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] looks like a perfect middle name for a future girl. [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] or [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] would be a lovely sister to [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_u]Kit[/name_u] and [name_f]Anouk[/name_f].

This was hard! I like so many of these names. With your sibset, my favorites are [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Zosia[/name_f], and Mabli. [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] repeat the “n” sound and so I especially like [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] repeating [name_u]Kit[/name_u]'s “t.”

[name_f]Clover[/name_f], [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], [name_u]Hero[/name_u], [name_f]Nell[/name_f], and [name_f]Tess[/name_f] were my favorites for you–I love all five with your three already, and in general, they’re just grand names! (I was a little surprised [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] wasn’t on this list, though? I thought I read that [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] was almost [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]? Either way, these are great as they are!)

I’d probably rank them:

Mabli does remind me of another “M” name you introduced me to–[name_f]Merryn[/name_f]!–which feels so happy and also works really well with [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], and [name_f]Anouk[/name_f], imo!)

Yes, I still love [name_f]Merryn[/name_f], but posting here about it many times before has made it clear that many people assume it’s a “tryndee”-style spelling of [name_f]Maren[/name_f], which is not what I’m going for. It’s still floating around on the long list, though ([name_f]Merry[/name_f]!)

[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] was too nearly [name_f]Anouk[/name_f]’s name, and much as I love it, I think it’s quite different in style from the three we have now.

I agree with a few of you that [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] is probably off the list now that we have an [name_f]Anouk[/name_f]. I’m leaning away from repeating initials, anyway, including [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and [name_u]Jem[/name_u] on the boys’ side. So many other great options out there, but still so hard to let go!

I think [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f], [name_f]Nell[/name_f] (but we’ve already used [name_f]Helena[/name_f]), [name_f]Zosia[/name_f] (I’m a Polish speaker, so I love the sound and connection) and [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] might be my current favourites with the sibset and surname, but I’m wondering if that last one might be more of a GP…

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] is perfect! I think any of my top 4 would be perfect with the sibset! I really picked the top 4 based on personal preference. I’d have put [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] higher on the top but you already an A name and I’m picky like that. Otherwise [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] would also be perfect. [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is a bit distant from the set but I think it could work, but [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] and Mabili just seem too out of place.

This seems the best balance for the set.

My favorites personally are [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_u]Hero[/name_u], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], and [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], but I think sibset makes a huge difference, if that’s something you want to keep in mind.

[name_f]Astrid[/name_f] - I prefer siblings to have their own initial, so I’d nix this.
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] - I also prefer siblings to have distinct sounds, so since this is a hard C (like a K), I’d nix it too.
[name_f]Cosima[/name_f] - See above.
[name_u]Hero[/name_u] - O is such a distinctive ending sound that I wouldn’t want to repeat it.

That leaves:

[name_f]Ismay[/name_f]
Mabli
[name_f]Nell[/name_f] - As previously mentioned, Anouk’s middle is Helena, so I wouldn’t repeat here.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] - Seems trendy compared to the rest.
[name_f]Zosia[/name_f]

Any of these would be lovely, but I really like [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Ismay[/name_f], and [name_f]Zosia[/name_f] with your sibset, because like your older kids’ names they’re familiar but not overly used.

I’d love to know what you’d choose for another little one! Your choices are so refreshing.
