[name]Clyde[/name] is awfully close to Cloyce. It would make a good first or middle name. [name]Gale[/name] (I think this spelling is the most masculine) would also be good.
[name]Clive[/name] or [name]Royce[/name] are similar to Cloyce. Otherwise, you could use his initials. What name are you going with for your daughter? It would help to know what your style is to make other suggestions.
[name]How[/name] do you two feel about using initials as a nickname? I knew a guy who had a family name for a first name (I believe it was Cleophas, or something similiar) so he went by CT (his first and middle initials. You could do the same thing with Cloyce [name]Todd[/name].
BTW, I used to have [name]Ember[/name] [name]Rose[/name] on my girls list. [name]Love[/name] that combo!
I like the idea of mixing up the letters and/or using parts of the names. Maybe you could do a take on [name]Gayle[/name] in the fn spot and go [name]Gabriel[/name]. Also, I would like to add the name [name]Coy[/name] to pp list. It’s somewhat unusual but usable.
If you’re willing to negotiate on using [name]Rose[/name], you could use [name]Abigail[/name] in the middle for a girl (or, in fact, just [name]Gail[/name]/[name]Gayle[/name]). Or [name]Joyce[/name], [name]Chloe[/name] or [name]Clover[/name].
Another suggestion to honour a Cloyce could be the fairly-soundalike [name]Klaus[/name] (KLOWS, not like [name]Santa[/name] CLAWS). Because of the Father [name]Christmas[/name] connection it might not be the best choice for a first name in an English-speaking country, but it would work in the middle if you were willing to replace [name]Todd[/name].
[name]Just[/name] an update…n00bies aren’t here yet but just wanted to let you guys know that [name]Colby[/name] [name]Todd[/name] and [name]Ember[/name] [name]Rose[/name] are out in front.
Are those cemented in stone? No, but they are a in a very strong 1st right now.
