Fauna

Sorry with the F posts at the moment but I have always loved the name Fauna as a middle. I’m really surprised that it’s not more popular. Thoughts?

I think it’s a pretty name, though I prefer Fawn and Fiona. The reason why it’s not popular might be its similarity to dated names like Donna and Mona. Still lovely!

I like [name_f]Fawn[/name_f]! [name_f]My[/name_f] cousin is a [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and that name feels a little frumpy to me. [name_f]Fauna[/name_f] makes me think of fairies and enchanted Forrest’s.

For some reason, I tie [name_f]Fauna[/name_f] to Sleeping Beauty, but not [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. I don’t love [name_f]Fauna[/name_f], but the sound is nice, and I think it could be a lovely middle.

I prefer [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] or [name_f]Shauna[/name_f].

Fauna’s been on my mind too. While I think I ultimately prefer [name_f]Fawn[/name_f], [name_f]Fauna[/name_f] is gorgeous. I think it’s just as pretty as [name_f]Flora[/name_f], if not moreso.

I feel a bit like this too at the moment. Something about [name_f]Fauna[/name_f] is so enchanting. It does surprise me that it’s not more popular on here.

I think of the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] goddess of fertility, woodlands and animals.

[name_f]Fauna[/name_f] has a beautiful sound but I associate it too much with the word for “animal life in a particular area” so it seems a bit odd to me as a name.
I know [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is similar but I guess the similarity to [name_u]Florence[/name_u] makes it feel more name-like.
