My husband’s sister is expecting a baby girl in less than one month. She doesn’t have internet at her house, but she had always wanted to try a baby naming website. So, here I am now.
The names she likes aren’t too familiar being Haylen, Rosewyn, and [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]. Those are the three names she likes, but her husband isn’t too big on them and neither of them have a clue what the middle name should be.They have one other child, a boy named [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Weston[/name_m].
She has enlisted me to ask for your help. Any suggestions?
I think the names above would fit in nicely with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. I like most of them with the middle of [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] from their list, and they would share a middle initial.
Haylen sounds too much like “hellion” for me, but [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] would be a nice alternative. Rosewyn looks like a male Welsh name (it’s not but the -wyn screams boy Welsh name). [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] (don’t change it to a Y!!), [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f], or [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] instead?
I don’t think her names fit with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. I can see why her husband isn’t onboard. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is pretty mainstream. [name_m]How[/name_m] about something a bit more familiar:
I love Rosewyn, especially with a cute nickname like [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] or [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. Here are some combos that come to mind:
Rosewyn [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
Rosewyn [name_f]Emily[/name_f]
Rosewyn [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
Rosewyn [name_f]Ava[/name_f]
Rosewyn [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]
So, since your brother-in-law is not too into Haylen, Rosewyn, or [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], I’ll try to suggest a few others based on these and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] that maybe both your sister- and brother-in-law would like:
I honestly am not too sure any fit great next to [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. However Rosewyn may be okay. Other suggestions though…
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogene[/name_f]
[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Samara[/name_f]
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Lacey[/name_f]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Hayley[/name_f]
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f]
[name_f]Yasmin[/name_f]
[name_f]Elenora[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Karissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicia[/name_f]
[name_f]Maria[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
I like a lot of the names in the post below to go with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], particularly [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I like [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] from your [name_m]SIL[/name_m]‘s original list, but I think Haylen sounds too close to your kids’ names noted in your signature: Haylen –> [name_u]Hayden[/name_u] and Rosewyn –> [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] (if either of you are bothered by that).
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
Some of my favourite names are [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Vianne[/name_f], [name_f]Marcheline[/name_f] and Alesandrina.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
