[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’m just curious, what are some of your least favorite names out of the current trends? Personally, I’m not a massive fan of [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] or [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but love [name_u]River[/name_u] and [name_f]Luna[/name_f].
I’m not fond of [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], or [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]. I love [name_m]Cru[/name_m], [name_u]Asher[/name_u], [name_u]Hazel[/name_u], and [name_u]James[/name_u] (girl)
I am not sure of what is considered trendy these days, so I will be going by the popular names on Nameberry. These are from the Top 25.
Not a fan of: [name_u]Luxury[/name_u], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Esti[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Fan[/name_f] of: [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
Not a fan of: [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m], [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_f]Fan[/name_f] of: [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
I love [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], and [name_u]Hazel[/name_u]. Tbh, I am so sick of meeting little girls named [name_f]Layla[/name_f] (and all other spelling variants). It’s by far the name I come across the most where I live.
Not keen on [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f], but love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], and [name_f]Greta[/name_f].
i’m not a big fan of emma, amelia, or ava. i just hear them so often! i love just about every other “trendy”
name though, as long as it’s unique enough!
I really like the names [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Liam[/name_u], and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].
A lot of the other current trendy names I’m pretty neutral on, but… I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Emily[/name_f], I don’t care for the name [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and I strongly dislike the names [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] are objectively great names (although way too popular for my tastes nowadays).
I used to be the biggest [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] hater out there but it’s alright to me now. I don’t think I will ever come around to [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], or [name_u]Collins[/name_u]. [name_f]Special[/name_f] shout out to the current trend of plural nouns especially as boys names (Banks, [name_m]Wells[/name_m], etc). I’m sorry but I am such a hater towards those names I’ve said this before in another thread but I’ve worked with a [name_u]Collins[/name_u] and a [name_u]Parks[/name_u] and to me they just don’t really work as first names in real life.
Least favorite: [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f], -on names, -lee names, [name_m]Brantly[/name_m], -s names as in [name_u]Rivers[/name_u] and [name_u]Brooks[/name_u]
I agree about disliking last name names ending with s (Collins et al). Other trendy ones I don’t like are [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] names. I do like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] though, as well as [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_u]Nova[/name_u] and [name_f]Athena[/name_f].
I’m tired of --den/-er ending names such as [name_u]Kayden[/name_u], [name_u]Brayden[/name_u], [name_u]Parker[/name_u], etc. Plus the names [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Emmie[/name_f], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_f]Cassie[/name_f], [name_u]Casey[/name_u]. I don’t mind nickname names, but these just feel over done to me.
I pretty much love all other trends, such as word names, mythology, and vintage gems
